Server Programmer

This position is for a senior software engineer who will focus on network communication, cross-server player interaction, persistence mechanisms, anti-cheating and security measures, server scalability and load balancing, optimization, and implementation of new game features.
The senior server engineer will work closely with the lead engineer to development and implement the server architecture.

Senior Technical Artist

Petroglyph is looking for an exceptionally skilled Senior Technical Artist to welcome to our diverse and creative team. The ideal candidate has excellent art modeling skills with technical experience working on game tools and pipelines. The candidate must be fully versed in 3DS Max and ready for technical and creative challenges while working closely with the art and programming staff.

Senior 3D Artist

The ideal candidate has experience creating all aspects of video game art, including modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation, with at least one primary focus. The candidate must be fully versed in 3DS Max and ready for technical and creative challenges while working closely with the art and programming staff.

- Models must look exceptional while working within the technical specs of our games

Network Administrator

This position is for a highly technical and experienced candidate who will have senior level hands on responsibility for our development and production environments. This person will provide advanced network engineering and consultation in the design, development and implementation of network services and devices and should be well versed in building and supporting a globally distributed MMO infrastructure.

- Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network infrastructure problems.
- Designs, architects, installs and provides support of Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Security Solutions, VPNs, L4-7 Load Balancers, and Network Management Solutions across LAN/WAN.
- Conducts analysis of network characteristics, troubleshoots problems and recommends procurement, removals, and modifications to network and system components.
- Designs, architects and provides support for network security.
- Maintains IP network design and allocation.
- Provides recommendations on architectural changes and design enhancements to the infrastructure to improve reliably and performance, reduce cost, and anticipate company growth and acquisition.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of company network standards and the overall regional and global network environments.
- Responsible for configuring and maintaining a pro active Network Monitoring System leveraging existing tools in order to maintain and track Network metrics.
- Provides technical expertise to support the implementation and modernization of client server and network systems as well as the applications they support.
- Performs ongoing network fine tuning, upgrades and enhances to optimize Network performance, availability, stability and security.
- Conducts analysis of network characteristics, troubleshoots problems and recommends procurement, removals, and modifications to network and system components on Cisco base networks.
- Provides advanced network engineering and design in support of enterprise network devices and services.
- Manage regular backup of servers and clients for offsite and onsite storage.
- Communicate with our development partners to analyze and service their needs when necessary.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years relevant experience as a Network/Systems administrator, working with increasingly complex and progressive systems.
- MS certification a plus.
- Experience with networking hardware like Cisco, Juniper, HP, Riverbed, Array Networks, Vyatta, etc.
- Excellent Switch, Router, VPN, firewall, and Load Balancing Equipment knowledge.
- Ability to develop and maintain software to aid in the testing of the network systems.
- Superior problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility by embracing change; adapting communication style to setting; investigating and implementing alternate approaches to resolve difficult problems; learning and adopting new technologies or methodologies where appropriate.
