Yeah but was it released officially or just the dumb incomplete version?

It was released completely this morning.

As for the campaign not completing, I just played through prelude to Hierarchy 1 with no problems.  Did you save and then load again or play straight through?

I'm currently trying to get the patch but it is taking a long time...

UPDATE: wow as soon as i posted this it finished.

Now if the patch was officially released, has it been changed slightly or is it the same one thats everyone has been playing from windows live update?

I downloaded patch 3 from some link in the forums here, does that mean that i have the final version that everyone else has? I still have the achievements Forged alliance and Opposites attract which where supposed to be merged or something.

If i don't have the final version, is there any way to downgrade without having to reinstall UaW?

I did the save and load thing, same result.

P.S. When did this become a new patch thread?!?!

I have this exact same problem, after last mission the screen goes black after cutscene and it doesnt do anything

Well ive finished the Novus campaign and I have the same issue, game just goes pitch black and nothing happens...

I get this problem too. Finishes the cutscene screen goes black and then nothing not even any disc activity.

Can press escape and get menu but cannot load or save game only exit or resume to the black screen.

If I do exit the game thinks that I havnt finished the mission as on the main screen it is as if I hadnt started the mission

Tried all the same things as arcadianemetai but no luck ie no dx10 reduce settings etc

Latest patch installed through live.

System os vista ultimate 64bit SP1, intel E6850 @ 3.6GHz, 4GB ram, nvidia GTX8800 and Auzentech prelude 7.1.

I finally finished the Novus campaign, but it went from the last cut scene to a Hierarchy loading screen instead of the blackscreen.     


However, I had turned off all unneeded processes in the Task Manager, so that may have had an  effect. (Turn off anything that does not have SYSTEM at the end)

I've never been stuck at a black screen after the Novus Campaign. I get thrown directly into the Hierachy Campaign.

This PC is set up as a gaming rig and therefore has only the essential background services/applications running but thanks for the thought.

Is anyone else running this on vista 64 bit ultimate that does get past the cutscene?
