The madness of Piglet's "If I was the leader of your country/world" thread has spawned this tale of death and destruction on a massive scale.

Prologue:

The year is 2050; earth is united under a loose confederation. Think of the European Union though on a global scale. More or less at peace, there are no major wars, no major economic problems. Though it’s strenuous. Small problems arise and are given temporary solutions. Like putting band-aids on a leaking dam. The people are dissatisfied with the current regime, the situation unravels. The dam breaks and all hell breaks loose. Countless civil wars erupt, violence reigns world wide. World leaders are killed or forced into exile. The end is nigh, plagues, famine, pestilence, and war. The four horsemen have arrived and anarchy reigns supreme. This rages for 10 long years, and the population of earth is severely diminished.

2060, enter Piglet. He arrives on the scene with a message of peace and love. After a decade of war this is exactly what everyone wants to hear. He wanders the earth resolving conflicts and gaining praise from the people. He is seen as a messiah. He convinces all warring powers to ceasefire. By popular demand Piglet is universally accepted as the new leader of earth. The weapons of war are destroyed and converted into tools of transportation and agriculture. Weapon production is banned. Though not everyone forgets the ways of war as Piglet wants them to. Manuals, schematics, blueprints, of weapons tactics are kept in secret by those want to be safe rather than sorry. The lines on the map of the world are redrawn, new sates arise and old ones are dissolved. Peace favors several small nations drawn up by ethnic lines. Notable nations like Russia, China, and the United states are split up into smaller nations.

2080, Piglets reign of 20 years has done well for earth. Society is rebuilt; the worldwide economy is fluid and flexible. Intensive research has gone into medicine and agriculture. Average life spans have increased world wide, disease and sickness is rare. Everyone has enough to eat. Man sets foot into space, for mining and faster trade. Mining facilities are established on Mars and in the asteroid belt. Because of this a new fuel source is found in the minerals of the asteroids. It’s clean, efficient, and produces little waste. Fossil fuels are no longer needed, pollution disappears. The earth’s population rebounds. Though now that people are content and well off, greed begins to seep back into society. Competition among industries increases, especially so among the new mining companies in the asteroid belt. Old disputes resurface, religious conflicts, border disputes, resource rights sow the seeds of chaos. Piglet is distraught, try as he might; he simply cannot please everyone at once. He accused of favoring some parties over others.

2082, seeing conflict on the horizon, the nations of the earth take precautions. The space trading and mining organizations arm their ships. Militarism and nationalism resurge. Those that kept the forbidden military secrets have the advantage; the others must start all over again using fuzzy memories and history records. No violence is at hand yet the tension is thick. Factories churn out tanks, aircraft and artillery, armies are raised and trained. The militarized nations eye each other warily.

2083, a large asteroid, nearly half the size of the earth is discovered. Containing a seemingly limitless supply of precious minerals two of the largest and most successful mining industries lay claim to it. Fierce debates rage over ownership of the rock. Piglet pleads with them to share but their greed is too strong. The fleets of mining ships orbit the asteroid, weapons trained on each other. Attempting to force the issue one ship decides to go down the surface and begin drilling, the opposing ships, enraged open fire. It is the first shot fired in anger in 23 years. A clumsy space battle ensues, as war in space has just been born. The battle sets off a chain reaction. War has arrived. Nations that stayed loyal to Piglet by refusing to build weapons and raise armies are almost instantly swept away and snapped up by the larger powers. Piglet vainly tries to preserve the peace by demanding an immediate ceasefire, but no one listens to him now. After a month of battle one nation arises above the rest. Enter Cheeseinator, having chosen not to forget the ways of warfare he had the advantage from the start. The spearhead of his forces the 855th gains a reputation for maximum effectiveness and minimal casualties. Led by Commander Loony, a battle scarred veteran of the 10 Years War, his officers are composed of those who served under him in that same war are totally loyal and effective. One by one, neighboring nations fall to Cheeseinator, they sue for peace and become vassal states. He allows the defeated rulers to remain in rule, yet within a few months all of them die in strange and mysterious ways. Cheeseinator then assumes control over that nation and it is assimilated into his rapidly expanding empire.

2085, other still autonomous nations realize what Cheeseinator is up to. Knowing that they must untie or fall one by one, but as they war amongst each other they need a common banner. They ask Piglet, who has been giving aid to those in need and constantly calling for a ceasefire, to be their figurehead. Piglet knows that their aims are not true, accepts hoping to do anything he can to establish peace. By now the world is divided up into two camps, one under Piglet, and one under Cheeseinator. The war rages with new intensity. The difference between the factions are apparent. Cheesinator has total control over his faction. While Piglet, being a figure head can only watch as the leaders of his faction bicker with each other on how things ought to be done. One by one the nations under Piglet’s alliance drop out and sue for peace against the onslaught of Cheeseinator’s more effective forces.

2088, the war comes to end. Total control of earth belongs to Cheeseinator. Piglet, proclaimed an enemy of the Empire is forced into hiding. Yet hiding is something that piglet is good at. Having been the target for countless assassination attempts piglet is adept at subterfuge. He is only found when he wants to be. Now earth is kicked into high gear. Total control over earth’s resources and economy by the state fuels this furnace. Massive mining fleets are constructed and for the first time spacecraft that are actually designed as combat vessels are produced. During the war some people took their ships and flew out into space beyond earth’s reach attempting to flee the violence. It was considered a dangerous and risky business going into the beyond. Contact has been lost with them and fleets are being constructed to search for them. On earth Piglet realizes that he can no longer use words bring back peace, he must fight fire with fire. An underground resistance is established, and small low intensity conflicts flare up around the world every now and then. This is where our story begins….

Part 1

September 1st 2089 – Anniversary of the end of the War of Conquest. Celebration ceremony held in Utrecht. Emperor Alasdair (Cheeseinator) addresses the world on the evils of the rebels, the prowess of the Imperial military, and the stability of the Empire’s infrastructure. Commander Loony is promoted to supreme commander of all imperial forces. In his honor he has been given command of a newly constructed fleet equipped with the latest cutting edge technology, his new flagship The DoomHammer is the largest vessel yet to orbit the earth.

September 2089 – Consolidation of the Empire is nearly complete; all that remains is the artificial island-nation of Triancia. Emissaries are dispatched to Triancia’s self proclaimed Emperor known as Substance. Substance submits to the empire and drops the title of “emperor”. However Substance is keen on resisting the Empire. Under his direction The Sword of the Wind is organized. A clandestine special operations unit intended to supply the rebellion with weapons, supplies, and training in addition to fighting Imperial forces. It is a risky business, for if Imperial forces find a connection between The Sword of the Wind and Triancia…

September 2089 – The Imperial High Command meets together to discuss suppression of the rebellion. So far conventional means result in small indecisive skirmishes. Finding a new method for fighting insurgents is agreed upon. A number of solutions are suggested but the one that everyone agreed upon was developing genetically enhanced soldiers to hunt down insurgents. The High Command turned to Dr. Greg Artin (Pyroninja) leading scientists in biological engineering. Formerly a scientist of the Harper Corporation in the days before the Empire, he was dismissed for some “questionable” experiments and forbidden from ever practicing science again. With the rise of the Empire he found employment working for the soon to be Emperor in developing biologic military technology. He participated in several successful projects that developed stimulants and other temporary physiologic enhancements for soldiers. Now charged with this new endeavor codenamed Project Syosar Dr. Artin feverishly begins working using prisoners, and volunteers consisting mainly of decommissioned soldiers because of their debilitating wounds. Throughout the course of his work he sees a chance to carve his own notch in the new world order…

October 2089 Small scale uprisings flare up in Pakistan and central Africa. The rebellious zones are quickly occupied and put down in a swift and brutal manner. Although all major resistance has been crushed small independent rebel bands are still at large in their respective regions executing swift yet unorganized strikes against Imperial outposts and government establishments.

On October 3rd Rebel bodies recovered form the areas of conflict reveal weapons that are strikingly similar to that of the Zaire Arms Organization (ZAO) one of the Empire’s producers of small arms. ZAO specializes in making durable small arms resistant to environmental hazards. Immediately the Imperial Intelligence Network (INN) is contacted.

October 4th, INN agents are immediately dispatched to ZAO factories and headquarters under the guise of Imperial industry inspectors. ZAO’s CEO Kabaka Obote assures that all of his weapons go directly to Imperial stockpiles and that none of his weapons could find their way into rebel hands. The agents complete their inspection, thank Obote for his time and leave.

The next week on October 10th INN undercover commandos infiltrate ZAO headquarters in the dead of night and using technology unknown to the public, hack into Obote’s personal business records. It is discovered that Obote has been selling his arms to rebel forces for 5 months. Obote at his residence is alerted by his fail-safe systems that his records have been breached.
Suspecting the worst he contacts one of his prominent customers in the region, a local leader of one of the rebel bands Liboke Bangala. Bangala agrees to take Obote and his family into hiding and find them a safe haven within the rebellion. Moments after Bangala’s men escort Obote and his family out, Imperial Special Forces units immediately converge on Obote’s residence and search the house.

On the following morning on October 11th ZAO is under lock down and Obote on the Empire’s most wanted list. Having only barely escaped Obote sends his family ahead of him to a secure location where other families of prominent rebels stay safe. Obote’s trail is still warm and Imperial forces comb the jungles of Zaire looking for him. Obote still in hiding with Bangala’s men wishes to meet with Piglet and offer himself to the rebellion’s cause. Bangala will escort him to Nairobi in Kenya, where the regional rebel authority of the African continent resides. En route to Nairobi Bangala’s men narrowly avoid detection from Imperial forces and pass through checkpoints at ease.

October 12th. They arrive in Nairobi safely and proceed to an old abandoned warehouse, the rendezvous point. Upon entering the building they find the Regional Rebel authority of Africa and his men…. dead. They’ve walked straight into a trap. Several of Bengala’s men drop to the ground with a shower of blood. Canadian Idiot and his special forces descend on the confused rebels. In the confusion Obote, Bangala and his men escape into their vehicles. In a dramatic street chase across the city of Nairobi Bangala’s men are killed one by one and Obote is captured alive. Bangala alone escapes with all his men dead and no rebel forces within miles he is completely alone. Obote was taken to Canadian Idiot’s headquarters. October 13th, Obote is taken off the Empire’s most wanted list. His fate remains unknown.

November 2nd 2089. In an unknown location Rebel leaders meet together to discuss the survival of the rebellion, the discussion is led by Piglet the leader, the rebel military leader known as The Fourth (StickDeath), and CLUE the rebel intelligence head along with several other influential rebel leaders. The council comes with 3 major needs for the continued survival of the rebellion: Men, money, and weapons. Piglet wishes to initiate an underground propaganda campaign, other members disagree, arguing that such a venture could compromise the rebellion’s more important members, however such a venture could bring many more men into the rebellion’s cause. As for money, it is agreed that a high output yet easy to control and oversee. It is agreed that the rebellion will tap into the booming industry of interstellar mining. As with Obote, a mutually beneficial business venture with a mining corporation is the new target for the rebellion. Though after what happened to Obote, the rebellion must choose its partners carefully. Finally the most promising situation is the weapon supplies. Most rebel forces are equipped with dated weapons from the 10 years war that survived destruction. The newly acquired aid from The Sword of the Wind is a godsend. They provide the rebel forces with weapons capable of matching Imperial arms. Unfortunately The Sword of the Wind can only provide a limited supply of weapons as more could compromise them. Now that Obote’s weapon supply has dried up the rebels now need access to weapons that can be mass produced. However in a militarized world weapons are easy to come by, one way or another…

Part 2

April 22nd 2090

A rebel raid on an Imperial training outpost near Chachimbo, Brazil resulted in the capture of a member of the Sword of the Wind, an elite Triancian based order committed to training and leading rebel guerilla forces. The individual whose name remains classified was promptly sent to the House of Silence for interrogation. The interrogation provided information that confirmed what many of the Imperial High Command already suspected. Triancia was actively aiding rebel groups. Within hours of the interrogation the Imperial war machine mobilizes on the Emperor’s orders. Triancia is to be invaded and occupied, all native Triancian leaders are to be captured especially Substance, the satrap of Triancia. Substance is to be taken alive at all costs, later Substance will be made to confess his sin of aiding the rebels publically and will then be executed. Imperial officials already in Triancia are to be discreet in preparation for the occupation.

When the unnamed Sword of the Wind member was captured and the situation was reported to the Grand Master of the Sword of the Wind, Evania. Immediately she contacted Substance and reported that the SotW was compromised and the Empire would likely move on Triancia. Substance then contacted Piglet and the other leaders of the Rebellion and quickly formulated a plan. Substance had been long prepared for what he saw as an eventual Imperial invasion. Beneath Trincia in several underground caverns lay the Triancian fleet. These vessels were unique in that they could travel between three mediums, underwater, atmosphere, and outer space. Triancian engineers make the final preparations and secretly the populace of Triancia and much of Triancia’s secret weapons are loaded onto the ships. The Imperial officials on Triancia are rounded up and killed, and outside communications are severed.

April 25th. The Imperial forces arrived to find a deserted island. The bodies of Imperial officials and personnel are piled in the streets. In frustration the Imperial forces comb the streets of Triancia looking for any indication of what happened to the Triancians. Casualties are taken as Imperial forces discover IEDs under vehicles, behind doors, and other places. Two days later on April 27th the vast underground docks are discovered.Searching began immediately, the Imperial fleet is put on high alert and they comb the seas searching for the submerged Triancian fleet, which unknown to the Imperial Navy, hides in the many undersea trenches in the Pacific.

A week later on May 4th the unthinkable happens. Two bulk freighters, massive vessels designed to carry as much asteroid raw material as possible, en route from Mars to the Asteroid Belt are seized by rebel forces. From the last communications from the vessels it is assumed that the ships’ crews were overpowered by undercover rebel agents. The freighters then disappeared. The High Command was deeply concerned by this development and it was said that the Emperor was furious. This event meant that the rebels now had their own hyperdrives and could go anywhere they wanted beyond earth. The Imperial Extra Orbital Fleet (IEON) conducts sweeps of the space lanes between Earth, Mars, and the Asteroid Belt.

Two days later on May 6th a technical error caused by rebel saboteurs in the Imperial Defense Network (IDN) creates a blind spot and a window in the orbital defense system. The Triancian fleet, which had been waiting for this event, surfaces a short ways south of Saipan and prepares to launch. The fleet is spotted almost immediately and all Imperial forces nearby converge on the waters south of Saipan. In what became known as the Battle over Saipan, the Triancian ships lifted from the water and rocketed toward the skies, fighting a running battle with the Imperial Navy and Air Force. Losses on both sides were light in the aerial battle. The Empire lost 15 fighters and Triancia lost only 11 fighter craft. The Triancian fleet escaped into orbit and went untouched by the offline orbital defenses. Father out into space the Triancian fleet met up with the two captured freighters, hastily modified by rebel engineers the freighters had been converted into carriers. The Triancian ships, without hyperdrives docked within the carriers. IEON ships, scattered throughout the space lanes, did not arrive in time and the two carriers vanished into hyperspace.

The Emperor was furious. In a cold fury several officers throughout the Imperial armed forces are sacked and replaced. Training programs within the Imperial armed forces were reformed and made to be more vigorous than ever. Officers that score too low on tests cannot rise beyond the rank of lieutenant. These reformations of the Imperial forces ensured that in the future only the most competent men and women would in command.
However the events of May 6th were not entirely disastrous for the Empire. The 11 downed Triancian craft are thoroughly examined by the top Imperial scientists and engineers. New designs and schematics ensure that the next generation of Imperial ships will be able to sufficiently meet Triancian ships in future engagements. The eight surviving Triancian pilots are ruthlessly interrogated giving more insight into Triancian tactics, maneuvers, and the craft themselves. As well as information about the Triancian fleet.

The events of May 6th were also greatly beneficial to the rebellion. The success of the Triancian escape as well as the Imperial forces failure to prevent these events gives new heart to the underground rebel movements. Dissatisfied and disillusioned citizens flock to the rebel cause and rebel guerilla bands flourish and grow bolder and more efficient in their low intensity war against the Empire. The Sword of the Wind, that had remained behind on earth oversees the organization and training of the guerilla forces. Their operating base is in a Triancian ship that was purposely left behind to serve as a link between the space bound rebel forces and the resistance on earth. The ship is commanded by one of Substances most able submarine officers, known only by his code name Kakatios. With the Sword of the Wind council aboard his ship they travel the seas overseeing the resistance across the world. Exasperated by the ever increasing numbers of rebel terrorist attacks the High Command begins to despair.

It is on June 1st of 2090 that Dr. Greg Artin, one of the leading Imperial scientists appears a savior. Project Syosar is finished and is ready for deployment. The Syosar, genetically enhanced soldiers are a terrible force to behold. Early test subjects consisted of drunks, homeless, and cripples picked of the streets. Through extreme genetic tampering, the dregs of societies across the world are transformed into bestial warriors. Incapable of oral speech, the Syosar communicate with each other telepathically. They are physically superior to human bodies, being faster, stronger, with lightning reflexes, keen senses, and animal instincts. The Syosar are the ultimate hunters, the very appearance of them suggests creatures from nightmares, dark bronze skins, protruding canine teeth, and the guttural noises they make alone induce rebel soldiers to surrender.  The Syosar are deployed in small squads each commanded by a specially trained human squad leader, equipped with a special headset that allows him to communicate telepathically with the Syosar warriors.

The Syosar are deployed on June 10th. The next five months see almost complete success. Rebel bands are hunted down and ruthlessly killed or captured by the fierce Syosar warriors, Imperial POW camps overflow with captured rebels. The House of Silence has a field day with the rebel prisoners, though they don’t know anything worth interrogating they provide perfect opportunities for Canadian and his minions to develop new torture techniques.
Through communications with Kakatios the Rebel and Triancian command are horrified to learn that several members of the Sword of the Wind have already been captured or killed by the brutally effective Syosar warriors. The success of the Syosar warriors jeopardizes the rebellion’s plans. Bickering among the rebel leaders is unhelpful. A solution to countering the Syosar seems impossible. That is, until November 15th of 2090 the Rebel command learns through Kakatios that an Imperial scientist, Dr. Artin is interested in the rebel cause…

Part 3 (unfinished)

November 20, 2090. Five days of careful preparation establishes a secure transmission between CLUE and Dr. Artin. Dr. Artin proposes to aid the rebellion by turning the Syosar on their masters and create chaos within the Empire, chaos that would provided the Rebellion a golden opportunity. CLUE agrees and will contact him in the future at the appropriate moment. The Rebel leaders discuss this important development, Dr. Artin’s proposal is a golden opportunity. But for what? A quick analysis of the past events in the rebellion’s struggle provides the answer, the Empire’s most effective weapon against the rebel insurgents is in it’s intelligence. The Rebel command decides that the House of Silence and it’s leader Bane must be eliminated at all costs before the rebellion can make progress against the Empire. An extremely convoluted plan is formed and Blazeij, the Triancian Leader agrees to play the dangerous role as bait. The date for the Operation is set for the new year, January 1st of 2091. The date and other information is kept secret only the Rebel high command know of the plan. Nevertheless Trinacian engineers work overtime to strengthen the fledgling Triancian fleet.

December 1st 2090. Before turning the Syosar loose on the Imperial forces. Dr. Artin must first make sure that he won’t be around to be executed for treason. On December 1st after communicating with Kakatios for an arranged rendezvous, he fakes his own death. Early in the morning at 4:43 Dr. Artin’s facility explodes. Emergency response teams find only one survivor, one of Dr. Artin’s assistants a young woman by name of Rachel Nunziata. Dr. Artin’s body was found, having no surviving family or friends Dr. Artin’s body was deposited on the mass grave used in the 10 Years War and in the Conquest for unknown soldiers and unidentified bodies. Floras Island, off the Azores where bodies are dumped and left to rot and the bones left to bleach in the sun. So many bodies have accumulated from the devastating war that the surface of the island is buried meters deep beneath the skeletons of the slain. Dr. Artin’s body was dumped there on December 2nd. The following night Dr. Artin awoke, using a chemical compound to render his breathing and heart beat barely perceptible, as well as another chemical means to temporarily deform his skin to appear as burned. It was there, that Dr. Artin discovered a young girl completely mute but possessing a remarkable means of telepathic communication, the girl makes herself understood by flashing images and thoughts into Dr. Artin’s mind. Dr. Artin learns that the girl’s name is Melinda, she has no idea who she is, nor where she came from. But retains fragments of disturbing and frightening memories. Dr Artin fascinated takes Melinda with him when Kakatios’ submarine comes to collect him.

January 1st 2091. Preparations are complete, Operation Bodkin is launched. A large probe containing Blazeij, four of his closest companions, and their prototype experimental mechs is launched towards earth. The probe’s cloaking abilities enable it to evade detection by the IDN until out of danger of the defense satellites. The probe lands in Victory Square, located in the province of Limburg of the southern Netherlands. Already response teams, alerted by the IDN converge on the position. Blazeij and his companions deploy and set about destroying the Palace of Victory. The first Imperial forces to arrive are a squadron of Lancaster gunships, a brief engagement ensues in which the mechs are brought down with the loss of only two Lancasters, Blazeij is taken prisoner, recognized as the former leader of Triancia, Blazeij is conveyed to the House of Silence with the utmost speed. The Emperor, contacts Bane to inform him that he shall come to personally witness the interrogation of Blazeij.

Meanwhile the combined Rebel and Triancian fleets lie just out of sensor range of Earth’s orbit waiting for the word. CLUE tracking the progress of Blazeij’s body through the means of an internally hidden tracking device, pinpoints the location of the House Of Silence as one of the many featureless orbital Imperial military stations. Blazeij’s location is confirmed and then the rest of Operation Bodkin proceeds. The Fleet jumps to the far side of planet and engages elements of the Imperial Fleet, already on high alert after the probe penetrated the IDN. Commander Slain, aboard his flagship the Doomhammer directs the Imperial Fleet. Dr. Artin then triggers his remote device, causing the Syosar warriors to go berserk, across the planet the Syosar turn on their Imperial masters, killing men, destroying equipment and sabotaging military installations. CLUE and his force, consisting of four cloaked assault shuttles arrive at the House of Silence, grappling onto the surface of the station and insert a force of forty rebel commandos led by CLUE into the station. The strike force’s objectives are to rescue Blazeij, rescue any other prisoners, kill or capture Bane and other Order members, and destroy the House of Silence. The Order’s staff are quickly eliminated, by the commandos with minimal losses. Bane and his eleven companions are hard pressed to survive and prevent Blazeij from falling into the commandos’ hands. The stations’ communications are jammed by the commandos and unable to call for assistance or fight their way to the hangar, the Order prepares to sell their lives dearly. The Emperor’s personal shuttle arrives, aware of the outside events and suspecting a strike on the House of Silence, the Emperor arrives with a contingent of the Imperial Guard as well as his personal body guards. This force of twenty of the Empire’s elite secure the hangar and fight their way though the commandos to the embattled Order members. The Emperor and his guard reach Bane just as Bane defeats CLUE in personal combat. At that moment the power of the House of Silence cuts of, auxiliary power maintaining only artificial gravity and basic life support systems. A desperate close quarters firefight ensues in the darkness. The rebel strike force, repulsed by the arrival of the Imperial guard, cut their losses and withdraw taking Blazeij and one captive Order member with them and prepare to detonate the charges within the station. The Imperial Guard and the remaining Order members, suspecting that the commandos intend to destroy the House of Silence, likewise evacuate, taking with them CLUE captive. The rebel strike team, now under Sgt. Pepper’s orders board two of their assault shuttles, take off and trigger the remote detonation. Some of the charges detonate, causing structural damage to the House of Silence, but the majority fail due to the haste in which they were set.

Both sides withdraw, the raid was costly for the rebels. Twenty of the forty commandos were killed, with another dozen wounded. But most disastrously of all was the loss of CLUE. It is unknown the rebels whether he was taken captive or among the dead left in the House. The Imperial didn’t come off much better. Eight of the Imperial Guard were confirmed dead with another six seriously wounded. Most of the Order’s staff were killed, only a dozen wounded were evacuated from the House. Of the twelve Order members themselves, one confirmed dead, and one missing in action, either a captive of the rebels or among the dead still in the House.
Sgt. Pepper contacts the Triancian fleet commander with the confirmation that the operation is complete. The Emperor and those on his shuttle go to the Doomhammer to join Commander Slain. The rebel fleet, encircled by the Imperial fleet, manages to punch through but not without sustaining significant losses, and escapes into the depths of space. The Imperial fleet, battered but better off than their opponents, has not time to lick their wounds. For the Syosar revolt on earth is proving more serious than initial reports led them to belive.

Background Information

Space Technology
At the moment the space outside of earth has 2 main uses, Mining and trade. Mining for the most part is conducted on Mars and in closer sections of the asteroid belt. In earth's orbit lie space-stations, shipyards, and military defense platforms.

Space stations are the the centers of the trade and mining. Rather than shipping hundreds of tons of material over land and over seas to opposite ends of the globe it was found that it much more efficient to send cargo to the many space stations orbiting earth. From there they would be loaded into large freighter vessels which would travel in earth's orbit to the space station of the corresponding destination. The cargo would be offloaded into the space stations and then shuttled down to the surface. In addition to shipping centers space stations also provide living quarters for shuttle pilots, freighter pilots, workers, and workers from the shipyards. They also support the families of the workers and pilots which basically makes them into orbital cities capable of sustaining life for an indefininte period of time. They are not entirely self sufficient however. The vast majority of food and other goods still have to be shipped from the earth's surface to support these orbital populations.

The Shipyards are all owned by the state except for a few independent large mining industries. Shipyards build ships, repair, and refit vessels of any shape and size. Military shipyards are seperate from the other's and contain R&D facilities. Civilians other than workers are not allowed in under normal circumstances.

The defense platforms serve as outposts for all spacefaring Imperial forces. Light cruisers constantly patrol the trade lanes waiting to put down any trouble and assist craft that may experience technical difficulties. The garrisons for the space marines also dwell in these outposts and using large boarding vessels, have the right under the law to seize and search any vessel at their leisure for illegal cargo.

Once the rich mineral content from asteroids is extracted it must be processed in a refinery. Imperial law dictates that no refineries are to be in earth's orbit at any time, as they may have negative effects on earth's atmosphere. So the center of the mining industry lies upon mars. All the major mining industries own enormous refineries both on the surface and in orbit of mars. The planet itself provides some valuable minerals but nearly as much as the minerals found in the asteroid belt. Refineries are not built within the asteroid belt simply because it would much too expensive and risky to maintain such large facilities in an unpredictable orbit. As such, small refinery freighters with their complement of mining ships patrol the belt filling their freighters with the precious minerals. Once full the freighter then makes the journey back to mars for the material to be processed in full. Once processed into usable material, the ore is then shipped back to earth for a plethora of uses.

Notes

I shall be coming up with the overall plot. Based on that those of you in it can write your own "chapters" from your character's point of view.

] For the sake of the story you can come up with an alternative name for your character, as some of our screen names (like mine) sound ridiculous in the context.

For those of you who are in this for sure, post a description and personal history of your character based on the prologue and some details of your faction.

Everyone can join in on this fun. I can allow for one more independent faction, we already have three. After that you must sign up under either my all powerful Empire, Piglet's rebellion, and Ghostly's secretive movement, that is if the faction leader will allow you to join.

Also any illustrations are welcome. Should wish to draw up maps, ships, weapons, etc feel free to share them with us.

+++Biography of "Commander Loony"+++
+++Retrieved from library archives before destruction+++
+++Partial reconstruction+++

Serving as a frontline soldier in the Ten Year War, he quickly rose through the ranks with each succesful victory against the forces that opposed the regime he served. Eventually, it simply came down to a severe lack of surviving commanders that Loony gained his position as supreme general of a badly mauled armed force numbering under a thousand troops. His experience, extensive strategical knowledge and pure lust for war was also a partial factor of his ascension.

The final conclusion of the Ten Year War by the hands of the proclaimed messiah, Loony found himself on the verge of losing his position, his power. It is believed that he, his small army, and other officers went underground to avoid extermination because of his violent war-like nature. The other generals quickly fell under his command and the small army he lorded over swore total loyalty to him. Loony watched. He waited.

Turmoil once again reared its ugly head as peace reigned supreme. A new figure arose to challenge the messiah and aimed to take control of the world's populace by use of force. Loony and his forces, ready to wage war once more, reappeared and swore allegiance to the new Empire. With this the newly appointed 855th recieved thousands of fresh troops, tank platoons and artillery batteries. Amongst the Emperor's other armies, the 855th and its supreme general Loony, became the most feared, independant and arguably the most aggressive army of them all.

+++New addition+++

The rise of the rebellion under the rule of the messiah gave Loony and his army a goal to aim for. After a number of minor skirmishes and assassinations, the 855th laid siege to the continent of Antarctica, decimating the rebel forces that had rallied there. After the bloody Battle of Antarctica, Loony became determined to finish the fight he had started and looked to take his war to the stars...

Who's side is Pyro on, anyway?

+++Continued reconstruction of biography of Commander Loony
+++Small addition located+++

There is no recorded information on Loony's pre-military life, but it is hinted that he may have had a disturbed upbringing. By the time of his conscription into the armed forces of the Taynegrade Corporation (at the start of the Ten Year War), he was a little known and expendable frontline soldier. He obeyed his orders and served unquestioningly. Witness accounts show an utter lack of remorse on the smouldering fields of battle where he had failed to hesitate to slay a dozen opposing soldiers of the rival corporations.

He became known as a heartless killing machine, bred for war. The near destruction of his battalion at the final conclusion of a large engagement with opposing forces left him and his unit in disarray. His battalion had lost its commanding officer and several other staff, amongst the hundreds of other casualties. Loony had shown much leadership and high aggression during battle and although he was not appointed supreme leader of the surviving battalion, he did become one of its officers as they attempted to regroup with other units. However, it soon became apparent that the Taynegrade Corporation had met its violent end during the fighting and the roaming battalions were effectively without direction.

Further encounters with rival corporations had dwindled the battalion's numbers and Loony became the last surviving officer and inherited command of the battalion. From that point on its believed that casualties within this unit had lessened exponentially. A trait Commander Loony would soon be known for.

Commander Loony was a strategist at heart, when not in a crazed fit of battle rage. He was known to be able to overcome overwhelming odds, despite having limited numbers of troops and munitions. He favoured unconventional tactics and strategies, one of which he became famed for during the minor skirmishes before the Battle of Antarctica during the reign of the new Empire. He labelled his favourite tactic "sound warfare". Playing extreme forms of heavy music on high volumes would often disrupt the fighting capabilities of his enemies while his troops were more than aware on how they were carrying out their operation.

It is now known that the Commander often wears heavy infantry armour and brandishes a heavy assault rifle - the only one of its kind. Other weapons include a pistol and a sharpened sword. The Commander is also known to prefer to command his forces from the field of battle itself, rather than from the safety of a distant base, bunker or ship.

Loony is fond of his troops and they look to him like an all-knowing, righteous, malevolent, respected father. This adds to their overall effectiveness in battle, which to say the least, is impressively effiecient. The 855th is right to be feared with Commander Loony as their "ruler".

I think you mean "Biography", not "Bibliography", Loony.

Anyway:

Quote

+++Biography of Canadian Idiot+++
+++Assembled by Father V.H Lewis+++

In my early days as a minister, one of my many duties was to work at the New Vancouver Shelter for the Homeless. The work was hard but I like to think that it brought me closer to the underprivileged people of Vancouver, some of the most noble people I have ever spent time with. But the person who always surprised and saddened me the most was a 15 year old orphan who the others jokingly referred to as Canadian Idiot; he was clumsy, unskilled and still referred to his home country as Canada despite its breakdown. I first thought him to be little more then the idiot everyone else took him for, but when I had the opportunity to speak to him privately, I found the opposite to be true- young Canadian was a magnificent actor and his clumsy shirade was a useful tactic to gain pity both from passers by and from the Vancouver criminal populace; he was laughed at, but not considered to be worth a beating. Anyway, Canadian was always extremely close to Selene, his younger sister; he would frequently neglect even the sparse meals he got at our shelter in favour of giving her his portion (she was a tiny, emaciated thing). It soon became apparent that his sister was the only thing in the world he thought was worth living for, worth dying for.

Worth killing for.

I am unsure when he began his service to the organised crime syndicates of New Vancouver, but one day when he walked into the mission he was wearing an uncharacteristic dark look, and did not have his sister. When I asked him why, he grinned at me and told me that he had aquired the money to send her to a private school. I was so pleased to hear this- for Selene was a very sweet little thing and, despite her brother's gifts, was in a far worse state then him- that I did not bother to question him why.

As the years went by, Canadian became steadily stronger, more well fed and even began his own donations to his fellow homeless. But he wasn't homeless any more- at the age of eighteen he had indulged in a magnificent penthouse in the north. That was when I began to wonder where the money was coming from. One night, I received my answer- walking home from the Church, I saw Canadian squatting on a rooftop. I called to him but he scurried away, as if scared. I tried to follow and rounded the corner just in time to see him drop down a fire exit behind an old parishioner by the name of Geoffrey Thurgood. In a split second, Canadian had snatched the man by the neck and snapped his spine. I screamed and he turned, glared at me, and before I could run, rushed forwards and grabbed me by the scruff of the neck. Running a finger down my throat, he whispered in my ear "Don't tell- or you will die too". I was a coward, I freely admit it, and kept silent, in no small part thanks to the fact that I couldn't quite accept what had happened. Poor, kind Canadian, murdering a retired old man. I left just in time to see him stuffing Geoffrey's body into a bin, dousing it with petrol and setting it alight. Canadian was clever...anyone who passed would think him just another homeless person, warming himself by the only heat he could find. How could an eighteen year old boy kill someone so heartlessly, so tactfully?

In either shame or fear, Canadian left Vancouver. This was the last time I ever saw him in the flesh, but I began to piece together accounts. Slowly, I put together what Canadian had been doing with himself since I last saw him.

Canadian had, at 15, joined a set of criminals called Orion, a group of Canadian mercenaries specialising in assassination. They recruited him because he wasn't the type of person one would suspect- friendly, homeless, young, seemingly unintelligent. Unfortunately for Orion, Piglet's next step after his defeat of war was to strike against crime, and Orion began to lose business. Canadian, the most skilled member owing to his near-lifetime of service, assembled a group of followers within Orion who wrested control from the other members and placed Canadian in charge. When Cheeseinator rose, Canadian saw this as an opportunity- although Cheeseinator would likely be no less intolerant of crime then Piglet, Orion could survive by pledging their loyalty to him. This continued during the early days of the war, until one day, Canadian was sent to kill one of Piglet's ambassadors- a woman by the name of Selene. Reports say that Canadian was "restless", during the trip, but his restlessness turned into outright horror when he realised that it was his sister. There was once a day when Canadian would have endured a lifetime of torment for her, but the years had hardened him and, as much as he still loved her, he did his duty. The only onlooker reported that Selene's smile when she recognised him was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, and she threw her arms around him. Canadian took his sword and stabbed her with it, but grief set his hand off course and he missed her heart. She bled to death on the ground, in a huge amount of pain, Canadian desperate to end it but unable to bring himself to stab her again. When at last she died, Canadian was reported to have gotten down onto his knees and howled with earth-shaking sobs. Some say that when the tears came out, so did the last of his sanity. And that was when he really made himself known to Cheeseinator. Welding steel bone-armour to his skin, attaching weapons to his body, cloaking himself and donning a fearsome mask, he lost the last of his humanity at last. He dissolved Orion and instead took in children from Cheeseinator's nations, training them from birth to revere Cheeseinator and kill or die in his name. This new order was called the Order of Silence, and the insanity and devotion of its members, to say nothing of their trained-from birth skill made them a personal favourite out of Cheeseinator's many assassins. After the success of Canadian in destroying the leaders who ruled their countries under Cheeseinator, Cheeseinator removed all his other assassins and placed Canadian and his fanatical order in charge.

...priest Victor Hugh Lewis disappeared from his home last night, along with the biography he was working on at the time. A human heart has been found on the desk; whether or not it is Lewis's is currently being tested.

A little description of my appearance:

Quote

A nightmare of a figure...warped extremely thin yet unnaturally tall, shaped more like a shadow then a man. Some men dressed to impress, yet this man dressed to intimidate in white, boney armour clamped down almost painfully to his shoulders, chest and gut. His legs were likely armoured too, but these were concealed from view by a dark grey robe which slid across the steel floor with a sinister hiss when he moved. The same was true of his arms; the sleeves were wide and loose and any armour was likely concealed underneath. Wrapped around his shoulders was aheel-length, hooded black cape secured to his shoulders by a silver chain forged to depict a series of claws holding tight to the next. The hands groping out from his sleeves were silvery talons, held perfectly still by his side, cramped tightly in a claw shape as if grasping an invisible object. A hood cast his face into shadow, although his face was already concealed by a gruesome mask that sported the scar-marked, over-large eyes and mouth composed out of five uneven slashes of a western scarecrow; furthermore this was mirrored so the prisoners could see every inch of their own terrified faces staring back at them. His belt carried a holster and a scabbard; into the former was tucked a bulky pistol while from the latter hung an ebony-hilted Katana.
"Do you know why they call this the House of Silence?" he asked in a hissing, gutteral voice. His dreadful black gaze swivelled to gaze apon his prisoners "Because the walls are reflective" he explained "The only thing you hear as you die are your own screams, echoing over and over- yet nobody else will hear but a squeak"

I'm working on a description for what he looks like under the mask, which I'll post tomorrow. It'll be pretty freaky, you can count on that!

+++Extract from "Biographies of Canadian Idiot"+++
+++Assembled by Father V.H Lewis, deceased+++

It is a common mistake, one that I have made before, to think that Canadian's bizarre and terrifying mask exists only to instil fear in his victims. However, after some research I came to the belief that this is merely a secondary function. The scarecrow-esque headgear may be alarming, but it is there to conceal something even more terrifying underneath.
The last clear report of what is referred to as "Human" Canadian (Canadian without the mask or armour) describes him as "Porcelain-skinned, blue-eyed, with a short goatee and long, silvery hair" and for some time I believed that this had not changed much since he donned his mask. However, an account by one of the few people to see him with his mask off describes him as "A horrible, deformed figure", and, considering he'd been quite a handsome lad, I devoted my time to finding out what he had become. After a considerable amount of internet trawling, I located a former Imperial physician who had recently retired. I arranged an appointment to him, visited his home, and, to my delight, found that he had access to medical records, each of these marked with a photograph. After paying him a considerable sum of money, I looked through these only to find that Canadian's face in the marking photograph was masked. I was on the verge of giving up when I noticed something- the second page of the medical record contained the blown up face of Canadian, unmasked. What was it like? Well, I was unable to keep the photograph but I shall describe it as best I can.
The overall shape was similar to when I had last seen him (if perhaps little thinner) but then the similarity ends. Huge, arced scars, each one livid and dark red, slid down his cheeks; they were even enough to have been either the result of extensive torture or extensive self mutilation. His face was split in half by another scar, straight enough to have been drawn with a ruler, across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. His mouth was particularly horrible; his lips were painfully thin, stretched back over tombstone-shaped teeth, and rimmed by six ghastly cuts that divided his lower face into six segments. But the most ghastly feature was his eyes- each one was rimmed by a vast, deep trench-like cut, as if someone had tried to carve them right out of his skull but had stopped halfway. His face was pale but not in a natural way; as if all the blood had been drained out. His hair was still silver and was now worn long, sometimes tied back. The more I read down the medical report, the more horrified I became. The injuries were self inflicted, by a set of carefully shaped blades sticking into his flesh from the underside of his mask so that whenever he put it on, he re-opened the cuts and let them bleed again. It made me shudder unimaginably to think of what level of insanity could make a man mutilate himself in such a horrible way. Another fact I found, and this was a particularly interesting one, was that the damage done to Canadian's eyes had severely damaged the optic nerve and Canadian was, in fact, blind. He carries out his assassinations using a mixture of other senses as well as an interesting mental phenominon known as "Blindsight". Blindsight is a strange but very real phenominon where blind men are unable to directly see but still have the images interpreted on an unconscious level; an example is the ability posessed by some blind men to play ping-pong. Canadian, however, has the most advanced form of blindsight yet recorded in a human being, a level achieved by a mixture of intense training and natural mental capability. Although he cannot see, every single piece of information reaches his eyes and he instantly has the measure of everything going on around him. His level of blindsight is in fact more powerful then the eyesight of many normal people; details which a normal person would not notice he can see clearly (he can notice a single off-colour hair in someone's head) and he can take in vast amounts of visual information at once, for example he is able to read entire pages of books in a split second. It is interesting to think that Canadian can give a perfect physical description of the Emperor but still has no concept of what he actually looks like.
The medical account gives no information why Canadian has mutilated himself to such a degree, but a small note at the bottom of the medical report says that his carved visage bears a striking resemblance to a decomposed face; in particular, that of the corpse of a young woman he keeps in a locked room in the House of Silence.

You have to add the "Syosar" to the "Unknowns".

The Syosar are few in numbers, but are extremely efficient when it comes to close combat.

What they are:
The Syosar used to be human, but after ridiculous amounts of cybernetic and genetic enhancements, they are no longer human.

- Blazeij Kobliska - Birth name - One he had up until he became entangled with the Red Tide mafia group.
- Ghostly Substance: - Often used in public and before Trianica was even formed and a few years after building his 3rd prototype.
- Eurosubstance: - Nickname came from when he was building his first prototypes in France with the "International War Machines Research Group".
- Emperor Substance: - When Trianica was formed he was made Emperor since nobody else was truly fit to rule such a new nation. He was often addressed as such in secrecy during "The Empire of Earth" conquered Trianica to show respect.
- Substance: - His nickname which was used once "The Empire of Earth" conquered Trianica.
- Substance, The Emperor of Trianica: - When Trianica was formed he was made Emperor since nobody else was truly fit to rule such a new nation. He was often addressed as such in secrecy during "The Empire of Earth" conquered Trianica to show respect.
- Sword of the Wind: - A nickname/codename used for his style in combat, coming and going without a real reason. He often arrives on a battlefield, clashes, and then leaves as if he was the wind.

- Gender: Male

- Age: Unknown

- Birthplace: Unknown

- Prefered Music:
Trance Music (Also uses this as sound warfare or surprise appearances.)

- Prefered Weapon(s):
-Swords -specifically those that are slim, colorful, and are shaped like real swords.
Has one on him at all times and can be clearly seen yet hard to obtain.
-Sniper Rifle - Not just any sniper rifle, he only prefers the finest one to date and ones that can instant kill or cause massive damage to a target. Has snipers customized where bullets also home in on targets when inches away (for fast moving targets).
- Mechs - Annoyed that they're not up with the time, he designed mechs and made them go ahead of their time. He has a 3 different prototypes for each combat environment and is known to cause heavy casualties when in this. Hes not to be taken lightly when in any of these three mechs since he uses this as a last resort, even when irritated to the max.
-Plane/Mechs - Creating plane/mech hybrids, he put more focus on these then the standard mech prototype to gain an air and ground superiority at the same time. He has a single Plane/Mech outfitted with the very latest technology thats upgraded after every battle and tested whenever given the chance. With this he comes and goes with the wind (hence, one of the nicknames).

- Prefered Combat Style:
- Stealth attacks - Prefers cloaked units or sudden appearances that catch enemies off guards.
- Traps - Sound warfare (i.e Trance music played over sound systems on both sides), Vehicle Disabler missiles, mines, cloudy bombs, DRONE System,
- Joke Traps - Having cartoon pop ups mock enemies, have fighters fly around in taunting stunts irritating rookie pilots, using own units as targets and then mocking the enemy.
- Utter Mockery - He doesn't take things too seriously and often annoys his enemies more then he makes tactics. Though this is his disadvantage, its also his advantage since facing the majority of the enemy he often made them crack causing them to explode making constant errors. There have been a few who knew this combat style and had (little) to no effect since they were combat Veterans or Elite troops with worthy experience.

---Search: Trianica cities[/b]
--- 12 entries found----

- 1) Santreal:

The capital city of Trianica is "Santreal" which is a massive, bright, clean, smart, and intelligent city. The buildings are all bright during the night and beautiful looking during the day time while the streets are perfectly laid down, clean. This is truly a city worth calling a capital city for a nation. Events are held here and in "Der Sabel".

- 2) Der Sabel:

The international capital of Der Sabel is the main meeting ground for foreigners and locals of Trianica to think as one mind and act like many. This place is used to host events of the globe ever since the incident with the floating city of "TRANCE-A1 City". Der Sabel was thought up by a German to get like minded people to come to one area and share the greatness the world has to offer. If a storm harasses the city then all events are moved back to "Santreal". Even those who paid/earned their tickets will then gain a free trip to see it in Santreal and be back in time to their necessary destination.

- 3) TRANCE-A1 City

The floating city of "TRANCE-A1 City" was designed by the "International War Machines Research Group" and built by the European Union. Its a floating city designed for civilian living and traveling around the globe. It was designed to withstand brutal ocean storms known to man and smaller prototypes were tested with properly scaled ammo to make it a floating fortress (its other nickname).

Construction of it began on 2034 of March 3rd and ended on 2044 of June 3rd, where on the same day it began its sea trials. On 2045 of February 10th, Ghostly Substance and his forces took full control of the ship through force and gained back what was rightfully his. G.S wanted his city to stay peaceful yet the EU wanted to lazily arm it for their own gain. This event caused EU to gain slight fears of Ghostly and Trianica.

Last known reports were of TRANCE-A1 docked in Catagori.

- 4) Ziata Base:

A famous Ski hill and boating village in the North Central part of Trianica. It has the most natural setting found in the whole island and makes it seem as if this artificially made island was naturally made. It even has new wildlife that adapted to the new environment and is even slowly spawning new species never seen before. Biologists and Scientists from around the world come here to log new species into their science logs.

- 5) Cagotri:

A port city that specializes in pure boating and navy life. This place has also been modified to have TRANCE-A1 City dock literally in the vicinity without hitting rock or any other known hazards. This city is experienced in naval sea life.

- 6) Blue Rock:

During the Terra-forming of the meteors to Earth like landscapes, blue colored rocks kept appearing out of nowhere. Nobody painted them nor did anybody pour any odd substances yet blue rocks kept spawning so they called the village Blue Rock. This place attracts tourists around the globe to see rocks turn blue during the Spring and fall seasons of the Earth.

- 7) Lake Side:

A peaceful resort where people go to relax, as with other locations, and spend their time relaxing on the beach front watching birds fly by. This is as peaceful as it gets on the artificial island yet feeling extremely natural at the same time.

- 8) Tangreal:

A Twin-City of Santreal and Canada, Montreal, it holds a Formula 1 test course and other smaller league sports. Car companies come here also to test drive their new cars while Formula 1 drivers show off older version or hold unofficial races to the public. This place is a sports town and is where most of the sports tournaments are held.

- 9) Mizu (water):

A few Japanese scientists and Engineers assisted the formation of Trianica and were given land as a "Thank you\Domo arigato" gift. Mizu was naturally chosen since this landmass is basically on water and is unnatural for earth currently.

Being a Japanese influenced city (and given to the Japanese) it has everything Japanese and of course many Japanese inhabitants. This city is linked with Santreal and Der Sabel by an extremely fast train network similar to the Bullet train in Japan. Those heading to Japan always stop here before heading to Japan, or if they can't they come here instead.

- 10) Zita:

A Russian settlement Northeast of Santreal and was another partner to Trianica. Many Russians and Slavic people settled here and shared their culture with everybody else. They also supplied Trianica with many Russian made vehicles and even gained a few modified Russian prototypes  and new civilian products are shipped back to Russia.

- 11) Presar

A boating on the south end for those who like secluded areas. This place is is a get away city and a tourist spot with many small events hosted by various organizations.

- 12) Mirado

Mirado is a small community that teaches those interested about flying and similar stuff. Boats from Presar supervise new trainees from Mirado incase they fall from the sky and crash. This is where half of the recruits are trained in Trianica and where people learn to fly commercial aircrafts of various sorts. Being a flight community, many people are allowed to fly planes at their leisure without bumping into other aircrafts.

meh... Keep this a little bit closer to home. Don't go too far overboard, remember this is only like 80 years in the future. This is more a Tom Clancy novel than a sci-fi comic book. I like the idea of genetically enhanced super soldiers though. Go deeper and expand, give me more details.

My goodness... Canadian that was sick and wrong.... But perfect. Gives me chills to think of what you're yet to come up with. This story is now going to get very dark indeed.

Well, I got the idea for one of my many, many different universes. Essentially, the Syosar went through what was called "Evolutionary Engineering", in other words, greatly accelerating evolution through cybernetic implants and genetic enhancements, and are no longer human. But the Syosar grew so powerful, they no longer follow orders from their creators and are waging a war against humanity, well, because of their lack thereof. Their weaponry is essentially various nanite charges, in which their enemies are hit by a blast of nanites. These nanites have two functions: Start to devour their target, or begin to gain control of the victim via tunneling into and forming implants in the victim's head, which allows them to mind control the victim. Kind of like the "husks" in mass effect.

hmmm..... This would make an interesting development later in the story. Alright, you've given me "what". But I still need, who, when, where, and why. Who started this engineering? When did they start? Where is this going on? And why? Who are you working for? We need more specifics.

Evolutionary Engineering, code-named Tantius, was a project started by Harper Corporation, which develops weapons and such for the military (Original, I know). The concept for it was created in 2037, but they did not have the technology to begin until 2054.
Where is this going on?
Mantorius Penal Colony. They began to use criminals as the test subjects against their consent.
Why?
The Harper Corporation was planning to form its own military, and was planning to secede from the Empire and form a corporate nation.
Who are we working for?
Revenge and hatred.
What are we?
Your downfall, your bane incarnate.

Audio Log #634
Author: Dr. Intius Krieyd, Harper Corporation
Location: Mantorius Prison Colony, Antarctic Circle

Today marks the third anniversary of Project Tantius, the "Evolutionary Engineering" project. And since day one, there has been one subject that has interested me the most: Dr. Dreg Artin.

According to the file, Dreg Artin was once a member of the Harper Corporation, like me. But he worked on illegal mind alteration projects, and was arrested and sentenced to life in Mantorius seven years ago. Apparently, though, one of his 'projects' back fired, and he now suffers from DID, or Dissociative Identity Disorder. Even the current implants have not reduced his mind to its former self. Quite the opposite, actually. He suffers from amnesia and the symptoms of DID have worsened. The one part of him that is still intact is his fascination with the manipulation of the mind. As we observed him before the start of Project Tantius, his actions, or shenanigans, would make his fellow inmates question their sanity. He would attempt to manipulate people's dreams as they slept by whispering in their ears and such.

Now, so far for some reason the subjects look to Dreg Artin (Subject 12A457F) like some sort of leader. He has excelled in the weapons training and such, but we still cannot see any traits of some sort of superior leadership capability. And, as such- What the hell? Oh sh- *sound of a nanite blast*
ERROR- Audio transmission interrupted. Gunfire has iniated "Black Box" protocol.

End transmission.

Subject: The Syosar (Origin, Weaponry and battle tactics)
Author: Col. Markus Brandt

/open/

The Syosar are, by far, our most mysterious enemy, and our enemy with the most misconceptions.

The Syosar used to be human. They were all subjects of the Harper Corporation's Project Tantius, a supersoldier project that used what they called "Evolutionary Engineering", or accelerating evolution with the use of cybernetics and genetic enhancements. It was a success to a certain degree, but they no longer resembled humans. They began to resent their "benefactors". The implants, as a side effect, erased their memories. Eventually, under the leadership of one of their brethren, Dr. Dreg Artin, they rebelled.

A former employee of the Harper Corporation. He was arrested for illegal projects concerning the manipulation of the mind. One of his projects backfired, so he suffers from a strange case of
Dissociative Identity Disorder. Unlike every other case of D.I.D., he is able to control the multiple identities within him, using them to his advantage. For example, if he were to fight someone, he would allow a more violent identity gain control temporarily. If he were to negotiate with someone, a more charismatic, friendly, and agreeable personality would appear. We believe that this strange occurrence somehow allowed him to gain a sort of "messianic" status among the Syosar. Then, one day when the Syosar had completed their weapons training, they rebelled. We only know of what happened due to the Prison Colony's "Black Box" protocol, in which all audio and written logs, surveillance videos, etc. are immediately downloaded onto a memory chip. This memory chip is then loaded onto a rocket and launched into space with a transponder to be picked up.

Weaponry:
The Syosar all use one of the Harper Corporation's newer weapon technologies involving nanites. These nanites are semi-intelligent. Within a split second, they scan a target and decide if it is suitable for possession. If not, the nanites essentially devour the target. (Pyroninja's note: If you have played doom 3, it looks similar to how the demons in it are like after they die.) If they do believe the target is suitable fro possession, they nanites "bore" themselves into the targets head and form an implant that allows the Syosar to control it. If the target is a vehicle, the nanites find their way inside the vehicle and disable it.

Battletactics:
Due to the nature of their weaponry, the Syosar have become experts in close combat and close-combat related operations, such as boarding actions.

More on the topic soon.

I want to be in there somewhere, I just don't know where.

Here goes:

Date: January 3rd, 2089
Location: Earth, German Region, Berlin
Factions: Rebellion, Trianica, Empire of Earth
Characters: CLUE, The Fourth, Evania, Trianica Agent, Canadian Idiot, Canadian Agent

It was a dark night, darker than usual, with a gloomy cloud cover and a dreary rainstorm. Berlin had recently experienced a blackout due to neglect and damage to the regional fusion reactor, which was located on the outskirts of the city. The city’s emergency generators had kicked in, however, which only allowed for dim street lighting. It didn’t matter anyways, as nobody was on the streets. Recent curfews had been put into effect, and people on the streets would be shot on sight by the Black Guard, one of the many organizations which traveled with Canadian Idiot. Canadian, who in fact would rather be in the Urals hunting rebels, addresses one of his agents in an alley somewhere near the remains of the Reichstag.
“Have you found any sign of rebel activity? The reactor didn’t go out by itself,” Canadian said in a raspy voice.
“We’ve found traces of nitroglycerin, only the Red Guard can get some, which can only mean that the rebels had either manufactured or stolen it,” replied an agent.
“Stolen. The Rebellion does not have the means or the resources to make nitro. And they do not care to make it when they can steal it. Find whoever did this.”
“What then when I find him?”
“You know what to do… incapacitate him.”
And with that, the agent melted into the darkness and climbed a fire escape ladder to the rooftops. Meanwhile in another part of the city, the reason for the “blackout.”
CLUE, the chief intelligence officer for Piglet’s rebellion, had just established radio contact with The Fourth, who had set up a command post in the city. CLUE adjusted his headset.
“Fourth, can you hear me?”
The commander crackled through the headset.
“It’s about time you set up contact. I was beginning to get worried. By the way, how did you get out of that fusion plant? It was crawling with secret police.”
CLUE smiled as he replied, “A distraction.”
“Well it looks like your little distraction cut off the power for the entire region. The emps have lost radio communications and communications tracking. Well done. But, in about, oh… maybe 7 hours they‘ll have it back online.”
CLUE looked at his watch. “Plenty of time, hardly even exiting. I’ll meet up with the Trianica ambassador at the appointed time.”
Fourth responded, “Mind you, I know you like your little toy, but we couldn’t manage to smuggle a Database into the city. Your going to have to complete this mission old school style.”
“Roger, requesting radio silence until I re-establish contact.”
“Confirmed.”
With that, CLUE muted his headset. He donned his hood and slithered through the alleyways., avoiding any patrols that he encountered. He had no difficulty meeting up with the Trianica ambassador at the desired time and place. He started. “Nice weather we’re having.”
The ambassador replied, “Where you going?”
“To Rome.”
“And the time?”
CLUE looked down, “my watch stopped.”
The ambassador replied, “Darn shame.”
“It’s because of the rain.”
With that, the ritual completed. The Trianican knocked bizarrely on a door. It opened, and they both walked in. Inside the small room, an agent of the ambassador sat at a laptop computer hooked up to a recording device. CLUE noticed that the ambassador was a woman. He said, “I’m CLUE, the representative for the Rebellion.”
“I’m Evania, the representative of Trianica. This alliance you have proposed can't work.”
“What? Why not?”
“We are an island. The only thing that protects us from a Imperial invasion is our skilled diplomats and the ocean.”
“Perhaps we could have a secret trade of weapons, your weapons are superb. For that, we’ll give you Martian rocks. I hear they are full of useful minerals.”
“I will have to take this back to Trainica. There are no guarantees that we will achieve an alliance or even a trade agreement.”
“Understood. We will be listening on the same frequency as before for your response.”
With that, CLUE left the room. He started to make his way back to the outpost, and he suddenly found himself face to face with the agent that had spoken with Canadian earlier. Quickly, CLUE knocked the agent out and dragged him into an alley. He then searched the agent, found nothing, and then threw him in a dumpster.
“Useless.”
CLUE eventually made it back to the outpost where The Fourth was waiting for him.
“About time you got back.”
“I couldn’t get an alliance set up, but there may be a possibility of trade.”
“Tell me later, right now we’ve got to get out of here. There is no way we can sneak the equipment out though, so lay some remote C4 and follow me.”
CLUE did lay the C4 and wondered why he didn’t use C4 on the power plant. They entered a sewer through a manhole, and then made their way out of the city. The C4 detonation brought every guard and agent rushing to the explosion point. Canadian Idiot was there thinking. The rain glistened off his mask.
"I will have to meet this, CLUE."

Date: February 8th, 2089
Location: Earth, Mexican Region, Mexico City
Factions: Empire of Earth, Rebellion
Characters: CLUE, The Fourth, Imperial Troops, Rebel Troops, Canadian Idiot, Black           Guard

The desert plateau raced below as the Rebel gunship’s sped towards the outskirts of the city. When the Empire of Earth formed, Mexico became the city in where most of the computer parts for Imperial armada ships were manufactured and programmed. As the heavily guarded factories continue to churn out chips, the Rebels sense an opportunity to break Imperial codes and ways to hack Empire data. Seven Blackhawk helicopters(hover-copters?) each carrying fifteen Rebellion loyalists including CLUE, are sent out to infiltrate one of the factories and to bring back an Imperial code machine and capital ship computer chips. CLUE listens in on the comm. link. The Fourth is relaying the mission objectives to all Rebel personnel.

“Alright men, listen up. The hawks will land on the outskirts of the city. The troops will deploy and attack the Imperials at factory 2B, while CLUE infiltrates the factory. Remember, the main objective is to get out with an Imperial code and capital ship chips. You troops need to distract the enemy long enough for CLUE to get in and out. Then signal for evac. Once again Mother Nature favors us, and a thunderstorm has scrabbled their sensors and radar; they won’t see use coming. That also means that we have no long range communications. You’re nearing the city now. Fourth out.”

CLUE sat in the back of the Blackhawk and prepared his gear: a silenced pistol, utility belt, backpack, and a dagger. He also had armor plating on his forearms. The rest of the troops had the standard battle armor and sub-machine guns. Each also carried two sonic grenades. Sgt. Pepper, a dark skinned man, was in charge of the Rebel soldiers and talked with CLUE.
“Alright Mr. spy, my men will target the 2B, and you hurry up and get those chips. You know that we can’t last in a stand up fight against the Emps. They might have armor and the drop troops will fall out of the sky as soon as those ninnies can get word to their space station.”
CLUE responded, “You just do your job, and I’ll do mine. I won’t be there too long. Just move the hawks away while you have your fun.”
“Let me warn you though, our preliminary intel have spotted Black Guard in the area. You know what that means.”
“It means my job is ten times harder.”

The helicopter rocked as it turned to land. Sgt. Pepper adjusted his headset and explained the op. to the troops. They were to quietly split into four groups and take different routes to the designated factory. From the choppers, they could now see that the Empire had light tanks in the area. As they attacked 2B, CLUE would infiltrate the factory and take what they needed. The gunships landed and the troops quietly disembarked and split up. They started on their routes to the factory while the transports took off and flew to cover. They all knew that the Imperials heard the helicopters, so it was only a matter of time until the enemy brought in anti-air. As they approached the target, CLUE disengaged himself from a group and crept through the alleyways to get to 2B. Meanwhile, the Rebel troops stopped in front of the factory. Then, Sgt. Pepper gave the signal and threw a grenade. It exploded next to an Empire soldier, and he ruptured from the sonic waves. The Imperial troops quickly organized and started to attack. They had heavy machine gun emplacements, which were opening up. The Rebels were firing their sub-machine guns at the soldiers on the ground and they dispatched five men to sneak around and take out the gun emplacements.

CLUE could hear the battle rage, and he checked the street he was to cross and found that all of the Imperial troops guarding this factory had run towards the battle. Before he entered the factory, he assembled a Bangalore Blade from the parts he had in his backpack. After he finished he ran to the barbed wire and planted the Blade, set the timer to eight seconds and sprinted back across the street. He jumped behind a dumpster as the explosive went off. He knew that Black Guardsmen would be there soon, so he ran across the street and entered a service door to the factory where he found himself face to face with a guardsman. CLUE quickly knocked him out and threw him out the door. And then CLUE continued to the manufacturing area. On the way he met three more Guardsmen and silenced them all with his pistol. He made it to the assembly line and grabbed some chips, and then he crept to the administrative offices which is where he could find the Imperial code. He found one, grabbed it, and made his way to the door which he entered from. As he turned a corner, he heard a hissing behind him. He thought it ways a coolant pipe until he heard the voice:
“Going somewhere?”

CLUE spun around and found himself looking into the face of the most terrifying man he had every seen, if it was a man. His body was covered with a dark gray cloak but that was not the frightening part, it was the mask. CLUE never forgot the mask, which was a reflective, horrible mask covered with scars and slashes. Even though he was screaming on the inside, CLUE did not let a bit of fear show to his enemy. He just answered,
“Going out, wanna come with?”

At this, the masked man unsheathed a katana and slashed downward. CLUE dodged this, and swung out a left hook to the man’s head. The man slid backwards and the fist barely missed his head. The man then thrust at CLUE with his katana and CLUE parried with his armor plated forearms. The mask let out a cackling laughter and landed a round kick to CLUE’s side. He gasped from the impact but managed to evade the next sword thrust. The mask laughed again but this time CLUE grabbed the leg as it came to him and pulled it past him while he pumped the mask’s stomach with a hefty side kick.

They continued like this while outside there was an equally fierce fight. Sgt. Pepper’s men had been able to hold off the Imperials, while the gun emplacements above had been silenced by the five soldiers who were sent up there. They then aimed at the Imperial’s backs with the heavy machine guns and fired. The Emps were caught off guard and ran. The Rebels cheered as they chased after them with the sub-machines in full auto. And then there were tanks. Light armor had turned the corned on the street the Emps were running, and it fired its cannon. The shell exploded near Sgt. Pepper and several Rebels flew through the air. The sergeant grabbed one of their SMGs and charged with both blazing. He reached the tank, a bullet in his shoulder, and climbed onto the tank. At this point, the gunner opened the hatch to remove the pesky rebel, but Pepper shot him in the head with several bullets, took out a sonic grenade, threw it into the tank, and ran. The sonic grenade bounced a little as the driver tried to throw it out of the vehicle, but it was too late. The light tank was no more. They had just past the door that CLUE had used to enter the factory with, when the door opened and CLUE ran out of it. He yelled, “Call the choppers! Call them now! The Emps have drop troops coming in!”
With that, Sgt. Pepper got on the radio.
“The pilot says they’ll be here in two minutes!”
In the sky, they could see about two hundred pods coming in. The Sgt. Swore,
“Damn, they’re gonna land right on top of us! Pull back men!”

The rebels regrouped and ran back, while the pods hit the ground. Shock troops trained by the Empire’s finest burst out and opened fire with the highest caliber. Soon the original group of ninety one rebels was reduced to thirty seven. They took cover as they heard the pilots of the helicopters say that they were coming in and the gunners would lay down suppressive fire. Then the rebels saw twenty shock troops fall and heard the hum of chain guns. The choppers landed on the street and the men boarded. Then they took off and flew away from the city. They could see the enemy planes coming, but they didn’t hear them. As soon as the enemy fired their air-to-air missiles, the helicopters performed evasive maneuvers and deployed flares. The gunners managed to take down most of the planes when they flew by with the chain guns. The rest of the enemy squadron flew back to base unable to pursue because of damage. Sgt. Pepper was in the same gunship as CLUE and asked him what took him so long in the factory and as to how he lost his left thumb. CLUE replied,
“I was occupied. I managed to incapacitate my opponent. What happened to you?” CLUE pointed to the bullet wound. The sergeant laughed.
“It’s only a flesh wound.”
Back in 2B, the masked man was lying in a corner. He was cleaning his wound. He only grunted as he pulled the bullet from his shin. The man was thinking that the intruder would pay for his crime, and that the one who brings justice will be the mask.

Date: February 10, 2089
Location: Earth, Northwestern North America, New Vancouver
Factions: Empire of Earth, Rebellion
Characters: CLUE, The Fourth, Canadian agents

A dark night in a city that knows how to keep its secrets, an old man tries to find the answer to a nagging question. Who was that masked man he shot in Mexico City? The old spy officer stood up from his hiding place from behind a dumpster and looked around the city. New Vancouver was a dreary city thanks to the heavy fog from the rain during the day. CLUE, the old man, breathed into his headset.
“Fourth, could you give me the directions again? I can’t see the skyline with this stupid fog!”
The Fourth sighed heavily and said, “Alright CLUE, I’ll say it again. You go down 32nd street westbound until you hit 1600 avenue and take that north till you reach the building.”
“Thanks.”

The building was an abandoned high rise, which was boarded up with steel plates. CLUE had asked Piglet, the Rebellion leader, a personal favor. He wanted satellite photos of a building known as the Order of Silence. During the brawl with the masked man, part of CLUE’s opponents cloak ripped off, and on the gray fabric was stitched Order of Silence. Piglet’s search turned up results of a House of Silence, so CLUE decided that the House of Silence must be the residence of the Order of Silence. CLUE peered down the alleyway and ducked down. An Imperial guard was patrolling the streets and decides to turn down the alleyway CLUE was in. As the guard walked past the dumpster, CLUE jumped out and knocked the man out cold. He then grabbed the unconscious guard and threw him in the dumpster. CLUE then walked into the street, and tried to be as inconspicuous as possible as he slithered down 32nd street. When he reached 1600 avenue, he turned onto it and continued through the night. When he finally reached the House of Silence, he noticed that the building looked like a homeless shelter. Then again, perhaps it was a detention center.

He then noticed the two largest guards he had ever seen at the entrance to the building. Each had armor that could plate a spaceship and weapons that made the Black Guard look like shoplifters. Their main weapon was a heavy machine gun with depleted uranium shells, a rapid-fire grenade launcher, and what appeared to be a stock with electrical shockers. On their left hips were scabbard that contained a two handed sword and the other hip carried a rather large pistol. This was the exact description of a Red Guard Elite. CLUE pondered the probability of him defeating both of them simultaneously and decided that it wasn’t a good idea. Then he thought of an explosive solution and then he remembered their armor and thought that too many Imperials would hear the explosion. Then he remembered seeing a back door on the satellite image, and decided that this was his best option. CLUE started to creep around the alleyways, and on the side of the building he was on he noticed an open window that had no steel plating over it. It was three floors up, so he took out a small, foldable grappling hook from his utility belt and threw it up to the window. It caught, he checked the stability, and he started to climb. When he reached the window, he checked that there was nobody in the room. He climbed in and put away his grappling hook, then looked at the room itself.

It was a small room with a typewriter, a record player, and a bookshelf full of thick works. There were also two lockers in a back corner. Their was no door. The typewriter was sitting on an oak desk with various drawers in it. CLUE wondered as to why there was all these old things in the room. CLUE opened one of the drawers and inside there was a thick yellow file folder which said CLASSIFIED on it. CLUE picked up the file and broke the seal. It was an Imperial file. On the back cover was stamped “Order of Silence.” It had writing under this that stated various details such as leader, date of organization, who had direct authority over it, and it’s headquarters. One detail that jumped out at CLUE was that the person who had direct authority over the Order was Emperor Alasdair himself. CLUE examined closer and found that the leader was called Canadian Idiot, the Order was formed in 2085, and it’s headquarters were in New Vancouver.

CLUE closed the file and put it into a pack he had on his back. He closed the drawer and looked at the typewriter. There was nothing being typed, so he looked at the bookshelf. He noticed a certain book called “Biography of Canadian Idiot” and took it off the shelf. The author was a man named Victor Hugh Lewis and the handwritten book appeared to be unfinished. There were also blood stains on the last few pages. CLUE decide to investigate further, so he peered out into the hallway. There was nobody there, and there was an eerie silence. CLUE clicked on his headset and contacted The Fourth.
“Fourth, you there?” The Fourth responded,
“I’m here CLUE.”
“I need you to run a search on the database for a person named Canadian Idiot. I already know he is the Order of Silence leader.”
“Hang on.”

CLUE heard typing and a whirl of computer fans. The Fourth came on with the results.
“Well CLUE, I found your man. Canadian Idiot was born an orphan and remained homeless until he became a member of organized crime. He later became an assassin for Alasdair during the war that formed the Empire of Earth. During this time, he was tasked to assassinate one of Piglet’s diplomats. The diplomat turned out to be his sister and after he killed her, he is said to have lost his sanity and he stuffed her body into a locker. He is also suspected to have murdered his adopted father, Victor Hugh Lewis. He also reportedly killed dozens of innocent civilians mercilessly to earn money on the streets. His known physical description is a tall man who is surrounded by a gray cloak, and he wears a scarred mask with reflective qualities.”
CLUE shuddered at this; Canadian Idiot was in fact the masked man he fought in Mexico City. He then looked in the corner of the room at the two lockers.

He found they were locked with padlocks, so he took out a skeleton key from his utility belt and unlocked both lockers. He opened the first locker. Nothing. He opened the second. CLUE gulped and spoke into the headset.
“I think I found Canadian Idiot’s sister. She has one stab wound right below the heart.”
The Fourth confirmed this as Canadian Idiot’s sister. CLUE then closed the lockers and locked them.  He then put the Biography into his bag and called The Fourth,
“I have what I want. Send the gunship to the pickup.”
“Right.”

CLUE then re-attached the grappling hook to the window and climbed down. When he reached the ground he put away the hook and quickly crept towards the extraction point. When he boarded the gunship, he heard a Earth-shattering scream coming from the direction of the House. CLUE thought that he would have to watch out for the Order of Silence, a powerful organization led by an insane, obsessive, psychopathic man.

Date: May 30, 2089*
Location: D.C. Ruins, Eastern Seaboard of former U.S.A.*
Factions: Empire of Earth, Rebellion*
Characters: CLUE, Rebel and Imperial soldiers*

A dark day in the District of Columbia, multiple factions were planning their tactics, making their moves. During Alasdair’s rise to power, he had his top military commander, Loony, use radiation weapons on the entire American eastern seaboard, since it would be impossible to penetrate the defenses there. The commander did use the weapons, and now it is an atomic wasteland, abandoned for many years. Most of the buildings were left intact in Washington D.C., many of them full of military technology that is much greater than the Empire of Earth's capabilities.

The most notable of these buildings is the Pentagon, the former United States military headquarters. This fortress would have been able to repel a massive Imperial assault; however, the 855th Legion of Alasdair's army used radiation weapons to force the people to leave. Now, the Rebellion is in great need of a technological superiority over the Empire, since The Sword of the Wind has limited the technology they could give to the rebels, for fear of the Empire tracing it back to Trianica. CLUE, the Rebellion's chief espionage advisor, has been dispatched with a force of the Rebellion's finest soldiers. Many of these soldiers were former U.S. Green Berets and others were Spetsnazs, so they were supreme soldiers. All of the Rebellion's troops in the area were wearing radiation-shielded suits that both protected them from the radiation but also allowed them freedom of movement. The Blackhawk transports landed on the outskirts of Arlington, and the Rebel troops disembarked. Chinook Skycranes then arrived with five humvees and an equipment transport truck.

The Rebels occupied the vehicles and drove off. The helicopters departed and CLUE led the group through the Arlington streets slowly, avoiding any collision with abandoned cars. Driving his humvee, he traveled to the Pentagon, and entered its parking lot. He spoke to the drivers in the radio, "Park the humvees near the equipment drop off point. What we are looking for will need to be transported through the loading area.” The vehicles pulled around to the side of the building and parked. The rebels exited the vehicles and assembled near the entrance, with CLUE and Sgt. Pepper at the front of the group. CLUE ordered, “Alright men, listen up. We are going to enter the Pentagon, we are not going to touch anything, we are not going to make noise, and we are not going to talk. The only time you can talk is when on the radio headsets telling me that you see enemies or a hole in your radiation suit. Sgt. Pepper, take nine soldiers and watch the vehicles, the rest will be inside with me. I’ll radio you when we find what we came here for.” Sgt Pepper nodded, picked nine soldiers, and took them aside, briefing them on what to do if an enemy attacks.

Meanwhile, CLUE took the rest of the men and entered the Pentagon. At the first computer security access terminal, CLUE swiped his maximum-security clearance card he received while he was CIA director. He entered a few buttons and said to the men through the radio, “When you walk past the terminal, push your thumb onto the scanning pad. It will identify the suit and the security system will ignore you. Lieutenant Rigmarole, you go first and corral the troops when they get through the bulkhead door after the scanner. Remember men, be quiet and careful.” The troops started to scan their suits, and after the last man was through, CLUE scanned his suit and entered the bulkhead door. Once he was through, the door closed and the soldiers lined up and walked slowly down the corridors. He reached a utility elevator and told the troops to wait there, only taking five men with him. As the elevator descended, nobody spoke; it was a grim day, for the Rebellion had recently received word that the Sword of the Wind had suspended weapons transactions with the Rebellion. CLUE sighed, and the elevator came to a stop a few hundred meters down the elevator.

The room they saw was a rather large chamber filled with weapons of all kinds, including several experimental exoskeletons on a rolling platform. CLUE started, “Excellent. This is exactly what we came for. You three grab the platform and take it to the elevator.” CLUE pointed to three of the soldiers and they rolled the platform onto the elevator and ascended. “Remember to send the elevator back down,” CLUE said on the radio. He then looked around for another platform, found a clear one, and started to load weapon crates onto it. The other two soldiers helped him, and soon it was loaded with assault rifles, bazookas, laser equipment, and sniper rifles. The elevator returned, and CLUE and the soldiers loaded the platform onto the elevator and ascended. Once they reached the ground floor, CLUE directed the men to the loading dock area. Large iron doors opened up to the outside and CLUE radioed Sgt. Pepper, “Pepper, come in.”
The Sgt’s voice crackled over the radio. “I read you load and clear. We camouflaged the vehicles.”
CLUE responded, “Roger. I am sending the troops over to you. Once they arrive, bring the vehicles around to the loading docks. Also, back in with the flatbed truck, for I have two rolling platforms here, to go.”
“Roger,” Pepper responded.

With that, CLUE signaled for the men to head back to the humvees, which they did. He waited a bit, the flatbed equipment transport truck arrived, and back up to the loading dock. Sgt. Pepper got out and helped CLUE move the platforms onto the flatbed and then strap them down and cover them. Once they finished, CLUE had everybody load up and head out, but not before an Imperial surveillance drone flew overhead. CLUE swore, “Hover dam, the fritz has seen us. Gentlemen, lets make like a tree and leave.” CLUE received a weird look from Sgt. Pepper and the humvees and flatbed sped out of the Pentagon Complex. A few minutes, CLUE received a text transmission from Rebellion Intelligence, saying that multiple hostile units were en route on the interstate. They were all attack motorcycles. CLUE yelled into his headset, “Fritz incoming, man the humvee turrets and drive fast on the interstate!”

The humvee engine roared as it accelerated to 100 mph. There were very little cars on the road, surprisingly, and the rebel convoy had no trouble driving at speeds that would be illegal. However, this clearance allowed the Imperial attack bikes to catch up with ease, and they soon were at the rebel’s rear. CLUE spoke on the radio, “All vehicles prepare for engagment with Imperial forces. Fight like mad and keep driving, no matter what. If your humvee losses the ability to drive, head for the hills and hunker down. The flatbed must be protected at all costs. Lt. Rigmarole, can you see the enemy?” Lieutenant Rigmarole, who was in the rear humvee, could easily see and describe the Imperial attack bikes. “Sir, there are seven that I can see, but there may be many more. As for a description, well, they look an awful lot like the Batpod.”

CLUE laughed at this and kept his eyes on the road, for he was driving. Then the humvee gunners opened fire as the Imperials entered turret range. The sound of fifty caliber machine guns could be heard firing from the rebel position, and shortly after, lower caliber weapons were heard. CLUE thought that these attack bikes were meant for anti-personnel purposes and not for attacking large vehicles.

The Empire must have been caught off guard to send such an attack. The caravan sped along, relatively unhindered by the Imperial attack. The humvees engines were roaring, and the attack bike surrounded the convoy. An explosion was heard as a bike blew up, with the concussion causing another bike to run into the highway barricade, throwing the driver into the bordering forest. Then one of the side humvees had an attack bike come along its side, the driver pressed a button on the control panel, and then boarded the humvee. CLUE looked back, and then shuddered; the drivers were Red Guard elites. The boded humvee swerved some, unable to remove the attempted hijacker. The humvee failed in doing so, and the gunner then turned to shoot the Red Guard. The Imperial smacked the gun away from his direction, grabbed the gunner, and threw him out of the vehicle.

While this was happening, CLUE directed on the radio, “Whatever you do, do not allow the enemy to board the humvees. Eliminate the bikes, for we have our pickup incoming. Follow me.” The caravan formed a line, with the boarded humvee taking the rear. The Red Guard tried to crawl through the turret hole, failed, then stuck his weapon through the hole, and fired. He eliminated all the inhabitants of the humvee, then lay down on the roof and opened the humvee door. He pulled out the dead driver. He then swung himself into the vehicle and proceeded to drive it. The Red Guard tried to ram the humvee in front, but he could not because his target released road spikes that punctured the Red Guard’s tires. The Guard lost control of the vehicle, and ran off the road into the forest. With all the attack bikes destroyed, CLUE went onto an onramp, and drove to a vacant parking lot, where a five Chinook Skycranes waited. The soldiers quickly attached the vehicles to the Chinook’s cables, got into the helicopters, and left. The Skycranes proceeded to a rebel command center, where CLUE would inspect the exoskeletons.

NOTE: I am not sure of the ways characters speak, so I just wrote. Anything Cheese says or writes can and will override this. Also, I made them into paragraphs, so yay. Non cannon stories are marked with an *.

I think you mean "Biography", not "Bibliography", Loony.

You know what I meant.

But f@$! that is one dark addition. I could never even write about doing that to my own sister, even if it is fictional. It does however add a very sinister taint to the impending story. Nice work.

What are we?
Your downfall, your bane incarnate.

HA! you wish bub. Good stuff though, still vague but good. Though you keep saying THEY, have you no desire to be involved?

Clue, cut the jibberish. Sign up and do as the other's did. Post a clear and concise summary of what you are and who/where you want to be.

Same goes with you, ying-yang. We can't have too many neutrals running around.
============================================

All right then. Nice work people, I fear that I shall not be able to visit the forums until this weekend. I have an exam, two essays, and mid-term this week so my visitings will be short and infrequent. Though my absence is no excuse to slack off. Keep thinking and coming up with new ideas. Warm yourselves up and write a few short stories based on events in the prologue and post them in here, be mindful of names, dates, places. A lot of attention to detail is very professional. Don't worry too much about continuity, we can sort all that out later.

Even though I will be in charge of the overall plot feel free to make suggestions as to how things should go down. Hopefully by Friday I will have finished the plot for part one and will post it then.

I don't want too much clutter here so brainstorm and post your ideas in piglet's cave thread. But most of all have fun with this.... God.... I sound like a writing teacher I once had..... s@!$

Okay,  like I said I will pop in now and then to see how things are going but don't expect to get any feedback from me.

I propose one rule.

No overkill.

That means no insanely overpowered vehicles/soldiers, no posts that say "My army comes in sneezes on yours and wiped it out" and no killing off other involved characters.

Sound good?

Agreed

And you need not worry about that. As I am in charge of the plot I will dictate the outcomes of battles, the sizes of armies, technology limitations, the general direction of the plot, etc, etc, etc. Also as supreme editor only what I see fit shall be part of this story. Every event shall carefully measured to maintain the richness of the story.

Part 1 will be much more detailed than the prologue. Names, places, times, who does what where. But I shall leave enough room that each of you can write your own detailed accounts of the said events.

Think of it as myself writing a history book of a war and you guys written the novels and/or directing movies about it.

That's just the thread's title. The story itself could have a different name.

It's illogical to say that a Mac is better than a PC, because a Mac itself is a PC.
