Still looking for a good pace to put my tablet


Its hard to use a tablet when its sitting on a PC keyboard.

As I was telling Dei, my N key is freaking me out


It detaches easily, especially if pressed on the upper part. The chiclet keys on the G73 are hinged at the top and secured at the bottom via a plastic catch. But for some reason, the plastic catch for the N key is SUPER LOOSE >_<

Yesterday I inherited a stereo system... coincidentally I was planning on buying a record player soon anyway, so that I can listen to my Bioshock soundtrack .  A slight reorganizing of my room ensued.

Just a painkiller.  I occasionally get headaches, and when I do I like to have them handy.  I don't use that part of the desk so the junk there never gets in the way

Ya, changed my name. Funny thing is - I found a sushi restaurant called "mizu sushi". It's non-existant in the internet world .

Anyways, it tried snowing on the night before Halloween. It felt more like Christmas than Halloween due to the lack of Halloween gear. Hope you guys had a better one. Petroglyph did! *jealous*

Meh....The twitter feed for the city was highly amusing. It was like listening to a bunch of spoiled kids fighting over a fort, toy, or similar. "eeeew yuck, snow!", "uggly white power on the ground!", "If you guys get paralyzed with fer then let us drive!", and etc and etc .

Crazy-ass laptop. 18.4 inch screen plus bang & olufson speakers on the sides. Plus it's costlier than my G73 (its about 3000 USD). I wonder how people bring this around.

p.s. the surface is polished aluminum, very easy to get smudges and fingerprints on it.

As for that laptop, isn't the whole point of laptops to be mobile?

There are mobile things (with screens of 14" or less), and theres the not mobile stuff... most developers go into 17-inch and beyond in order to accommodate full 1080p HD on the screen. I don't know of any laptop smaller than 17 inches which supports full HD except maybe the Dell Studio XPS 16 and Alienware M15x (15.6" with full HD support)

That laptop there is more of an all-in-one PC. 18.4" screen size is usually the threshold, but that laptop went the extra mile to lengthen the machine even more with those two speakers.

Visited a tech store in a new mall~


Alienwaress, from foreground to background: the M17X, M15X and M11X

The M11X is so thick it's crazy ridiculous (although unsurprising for laptops that have big internal fans). Clevo machines have that thickness too thanks to their cooling fans (which are a lot)

Magnesium chassis is sweet build quality though.

Oh and the ones in the pic are pretty up to date models, using dual 5870 ATI GPUs.









An F-series Sony Vaio. One of my fave laptop designs. It's got a really generous screen size/compactness ratio (16.4"). I would've loved to have owned one, but it's not gaming capable (it can't run SCII on maxed without less than 20fps)





Wacom Intuos 4. I'm surprised how small the drawing area is compared to the whole surface area. It's practically the same drawing area size as my wacom bamboo, which is half the size in total surface area, and also more than half price cheaper.
