I have recently dug out my old copy of FOC and installed then patched it but I have discovered my corruption options are limited because for certain options that involve battles the corruption mission begins with only a black screen then when I quit back to the menu the sound is turned off. the sound can be turned back on but it means I can only do some intimidation/kidnapp/piracy missions because others return this fault everytime for example piracy for mon cal always starts as a black screen but pressing a button loads the map but it only contains my forces no enemy forces and non-spawn forcing me to abandon corruption.

Any help restoring these missions would be greatly appreciated.

please add a DXdiag to your post

also deinstall both games, eaW and FoC make sure that really EVERYTHING from these games got deleted from your harddrive and try to reinstall both games
