So. I couldn't find any thread about this, so I figured I would make one.
I'm sure by now most people that look around here are aware by now that BioWare is making a new MMORPG named "Star Wars: The Old Republic".

Completely voiced.
Quite ambitious of BioWare, every encounter will have a dialogue where each choice has a different result. (Ala Mass Effect style). Never done before in a MMO.

Cover system.
As far as I am aware, this hasn't been seen in a MMORPG before either. A cover system.

Alignments.
As you advance, based on your decisions, you gain 'dark side' or 'light side' points. (Not sure if those are the exact names). Basically moral choices. This counts for all classes, thus Sith Warriors aren't bound to being pure evil only.

Sexy bounty hunter is sexy. I'll get this game, and play as a bounty hunter, regardless of that sexy bounty hunter.. [I tried not to make a hot joke thar ;P]

Haha. Yes, well, so far everyone I know of wants to be a bounty hunter. That'll be interesting.
Either way. This game looks really good and has some very ambitious elements for a MMORPG. I only wish they would give us a release date.

And unless there'll be a more tech-related class, I'm a bounty hunter too! :p
So lets all go and look alike!

Also. I should add. The walkthrough is pretty great.
Shows off some great landscape, interesting dialogue and all the classes, including the first look at the Sith Warrior class.

Also, the multiplayer dialogue system is great. Basically take turns.

I like almost everything I've seen about the game so far.  The stylized realism is a good way to go.  My one concern about the multiplayer dialogue is if your partner chooses an option that you normally wouldn't.  In actuality that could make the game even more exciting by not only having your choices affect the game, but potentially have others affect your story.  The downside is that someone can completely ruin what you want to do with your character by the choices they may choose in a dialogue.  I trust Bioware will figure how to handle truly large decisions in the story progression of your character (maybe have solo missions for major story decisions or something).

All in all it looks pretty interesting and leaves the SW geek in me wanting more... :)

Yeah. I was thinking of that too. Just have to be careful with whom you pick as your party members I guess.
But then again, I do not think the choices another player does (E.g killing someone) affects your character. So in a way it only affects the quest. (Which still could be bad, but interesting either way).
You wouldn't get any 'dark side' points for that. I'd think.

Mhm, because being a bounty hunter soooo is the most moral career choice. 'sides, I'll try to be in your party often so...muchos darkos pointos! Yay!

Also interesting to see nobody's going "OMFG I BE SIFF/JEDIE!"

Besides, good chance I'm going to be republic. All they got to show is something engineer ish class.

And regarding the 'siff/jedie!'. You'd be surprised. Take a look at their official forums. Mostly Bounty Hunter fans out there. LOTS of them. And they want their own ship which they can name... and being capable of placing bounties on people from both factions... and... Well... Yeah.

In fact. The thread ratio from Bounty Hunters to Sith Warriors is 5:1. Currently. With the post count being... The same! If that says much.

Well then, be sure to do as much as you can the coming year or so, because after that you'll belong to The Old Republic.

I happen to dislike how the Republic troopers look so similar to Clone Troopers from the Prequels. Just seems like a way to cater to the screaming 10 year old fanboys who watch things like the new cartoon. The Republic soldier uniforms in KotOR and KotOR II were much better looking.
