It's free man, it's free! I've also decided to join the Final Fantasy XIV open beta. Because it's free! I logged in... Laughed at the class system and that's about it so far.
Seriously. Those classes are weird. How the hell can they balance out a POWERFUL GLADIATOR THAT MASSACRES PEOPLE FOR A LIVING or A MYSTICAL AND INTELLIGENT CONJURER THAT SUMMONS DEMONS INTO OUR VERY WORLD and a FISHER. Yeah, FISHER. That's a class? My current character is a Blacksmith... Ooh, epix. Just to see what the hell that does. But anyway, that's for another thread at a different time.
Right now I'm patching the crap out of WoW. I downloaded the WotLK client from battle.net which I hope allows my BC account to log on... Would be silly if it didn't.

Also, free WoW?

j/k. Had to say it...
Lulz.
Well, yeah. Free WoW. Because I have played the game previously for like 3 years or so and have been away for more than a year now they are attempting to buy me back with a 7 day, no strings attached, free 'anniversary' gift. After that I could likely also upgrade my account to a Wrath of the Lich King 10-day trial. At least, for now, I got 7 days of free time where I can do everything. Except for WotLK stuff, not that it bothers me yet seeing I am starting from scratch.
After THAT, I'll let my parents pay for it. Duh. (If only...)

Indeed you can. However, the new instances introduced with Cataclysm requires you to actually visit the entrances before you can enter through the Dungeon Finder.

Ridiculous isn't it! Well, to be honest if they remove them everywhere I'd be a little sad. Having to fly from one end of the game to the other for 15 minutes like five times in a row isn't exactly interesting...

Seriously, here's hoping they make every cinematic like this. I mean... Even for a Goblin cinematic it came over reasonably serious and it just looked good for WoW standards.
Here's another nice piece of lore with epic voice overs from TB.

Not to be cynical, but if those standards are your definition of "epic", you must use the word like it's as common as candy...you know, like actual WoW Epic-level gear...
It didn't seem any better than the Wrath Gate cinematic made 2 years ago, and that in itself was an unsatisfying conclusion which resulted in the Lich King sauntering off on the verge of diarrhoea. And as we all know, it was the only in-game cinematic you got for 3 patches.
Still, if a friend of mine is still playing WoW come Cataclysm, I'll ask him what he thinks of the whole thing. Based on current observations though, it looks like it will be the same thing experienced before: Migration of population into new content areas, newly-determined general loitering zones, older content reduced to ghost towns.
