No atlantis didn't use the power of the atomic blast. It used the atomic blast to trick the Wraith into thinking atlantis was destroyed (detonating it above their shield and waiting a while before activating the cloak and such the wraith thought they had destroyed atlantis)
It's illogical to say that a Mac is better than a PC, because a Mac itself is a PC.

Yes. I know that. But I could swear there was an episode where they changed some sort of other power into... well power they could use. Been a while. The episode you are referring to wasn't the one I meant, at least.

Not that it is very important.

Why can't the human ships have the super duper nukes on their ships that are designed to destroy Stargates?

There was an episode in SG1 where they nuked an Ori priest guy and then his bubble shield absorbed the energy of the blast and that cause the bubble to encompass the entire planet.

They used lightning strikes to power the shields once.

That could very well be what I thought. Still unsure though. I do not have all my Stargate episodes located on this new laptop, so I can not access them currently. But that could be what I meant.

They also used a lightning strike to power a stargate in season 1's Torment of Tantalus. And a chemical reaction as well one time, so you can find many alternate power sources to work with Ancient technology, so I would not rule much of anything out, other than every so often the crew should expect to be flying through the odd sun every so often ;)

Right. I remember that one. Though it was a lot less epic than how I recall the Atlantis version. :p

Haha, yeah. At least they know the ship is capable of that now.
Next up: "Water"!

probably involves some weird form of intercourse they know nothing about which makes one of the men become pregnant.

Okay, I didn't factor in the fact it'll be about water.

The water is the alien in a way. There are either billions of aliens linked together in the water to make some sort of abyss (the movie) like lifeform which tries to interact with the humans, humans get scared and shoot (which has little to no effect) Alien is scared too and accidentely maims a couple of the crewmembers trying to defend itself.

OR there are fish-like entities but I doubt that.

OR! They require water, for some reason, and have to search another planet - which has an alien population. But... I highly doubt that, since well... if it is a 'friendly' civilization they could just ask for their aid, if they go to another planet filled with aliens it is more likely the aliens are... like for example as you said, in the water supply / are the water supply.

We'll see. Also, I am currently listening to "Water" from Breaking Benjamin. How suiting, no?

I'm sticking with Piglet till there's a wrong answer posted. Good call last week, but we all saw it coming. LOL I too thought the sex scene/ relationship was really, really random.

Yeah. That came a little unexpected. Sure they had one romantic scene before, but not exactly how I thought it would turn out. Thought it was a little sad for "Mathboy" too. :'(

A bit like the SG-1 Episode when the russians use their stargate and get it stuck open to a "water" world?

I know it won't be this week, or even this season, but am I the only one that is hoping that the SG-U crew crosses paths with the Furlings? Now that the Asgards are extinct they are the last of the great races that met at Heliopolis and it would be wicked awesome to finally see them.

And no, the Wormhole Extreme movie episode doesn't count (episode 200), Although that one did have the awesome Farscape homage!

Haha. As long as they don't even look slightly similar to episode 200, then sure!
