Yeah, it definitely takes some getting used to, but a skilled player can really wreak havoc with this guy.

Been trying Krogan recently, to see if the melee-rage gimmick is worthwhile. It's not. At least not on anything harder than Bronze. Plus regardless which Krogan you use, Fortification/Tech Armour doesn't help much.

Also tried Adept but it seems to rely too much on combos with a fellow adept to really work well. If you're on your own, you're either just gonna be doing stasis to phantoms or crowd control with Singularity... the stuff that gets you few kills but all the Assist medals...

Not surprised that with all the classes and races, most people have narrowed it down to only a few good ones that are actually viable in silver and gold.

Prior to that i was using javelin, whose fire delay is a pain. the widow is just what the doctor ordered for all your snipy snipy needs. It's amusing doing a kill-steal when an atlas is down to 3 armour pips and i finish it with a widow snipe XD

More recently i got the pistol piercing mod, which has replaced the scope on my carnifex for salarian engi, so i have a bit of an easier time on armour targets.

Just got a triple kill on Cerberus Troopers. Damn, I love that rifle.

Still need to unlock the Carnifex though.

I had a leech in a game just now. Kept camping on the map and not doing anything till the extraction round where he sprang to life and headed for the LZ.

Soooo I kept opening fire on him at point blank in between the waves. If course it did nothing but it's the thought that counts. Also during the extraction wave i deliberately avoided a full extraction by staying away from the LZ

Carnifex + widow = all i need in my life really. Except for the adventurous days where i go shotgun infiltrator with a graal spike thrower

That being said i'm still buying packs because thats how the vicious bioware ME3 economy cycle works... im now saving up for a premium spectre pack and hoping i dont get character cards or crap like upgraded geth pulse rifles

btw i think the widow can no longer one-shot basic troops... at least I couldnt one-shot some geth troopers in a recent game... anyone else with a widow tried it?

You need to hit them in the chest or higher. Not sure if it's always been that way or if it's recent change.

Also.

Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut announced. The ending won't be changed, but they will be adding additional cutscenes and some sort of epilogue to clarify some points. ETA some time this summer. Oh, and it's free.

And people are complaining about getting free stuff because it's not the free stuff they wanted.....

I am with Bioware on this fight to be honest. Okay the ending was pretty... bad... But we get free stuff for it in return. You do not look a given horse in the mouth is a saying here in the netherlands.

I think this is for the best. I really believe Mass Effect 3 is the last in the franchise. The old man at the end tellign another story about The Shepard is just that, an old man telling his grandson about the bestesterest man ever allived.
