I just got a new higher end laptop with Windows 7 and installed UAW. It runs fine on the highest settings, but for some reason there is a thin black bar (maybe like an inch) on the right side of the screen. Nothing on the menu or ingame fills in that region, but I can put my mouse cursor there. In addition to this (not sure if two problems are related) in order to click or select anything I must click a little to the right of the button or unit. This goes for everything in the game and menus. This makes it difficult to click on smaller units and buttons and especially difficult to direct my units in the mini map.

I signed into Windows Live and got the patch. What can I do to fix this?

Crap, I just noticed this problem also occurs with full screen videos on YouTube.

Hmm, what is your screen resolution? I haven't really had any problems with UaW on Win 7 personally (save Xfire refusing to work for some reason...) but it sounds a bit like a screen resolution problem to me.

I'm using 1366x768. When I switched the resolution in game to 1360x768 the same thing occured, though. The problem also happened in the Crysis demo, but ONLY on 1366x768. Weird. It also only happens on fullscreen YouTube videos in FireFox and Chrome, not Internet Explorer.

Maybe you need to update drivers or plugins.
Also, it may be a problem with the monitor itself, see if it persists with a different one if possible.

I'm waiting for HP to send me packaging so I can send the laptop to be repaired. The problem also occurred when I used HDMI to display YT videos on my HDTV. I did a system restore, but that didn't solve the problem.
