I just downloaded the map editor and made a little demo map. I saved it into C Drive, Program Filesx86, Lucas Arts, Empire At War FOC, Data, Custom maps, but when I go to skirmish battles and custom maps, it does not show up. Please what is going on?
Yes its a land battle. I don't know why its not showing up, its my first time using it. I read the manuel and did everything it told me to make the map, but its just not showing up.

Are you using Windows 7 per chance? The last time I made a map on my current system I had to run the map editor program as administrator in order for my computer to "accept" the maps I made when playing the game (it saved them, but wouldn't allow the game to open them for use). If you are, try starting the editor with the "Run as Administrator" option, open your test map up, make a small tweak somewhere, and save over it.

I tried that... Still does not show up in my Custom Maps section in the game. Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Hmmm... I can think of maybe two other things worth checking.
1. Do you have both the TED and TGA files in the folder? I'm not sure if the instructions mentioned requiring both, but if I remember correctly you do need both for things to work.
2. Try renaming the "Custom Maps" file as "CustomMaps" or similar.
I'll try to find some better help, I'm afraid my memory is a bit hazy regarding editor issues as it has been several months since I last did any work with them.
