Well, Americans trying to ruin everything we take for granted on the web once again.

Lovely, continue to piss of the world why don't you. Well, seeing as how this is an American forum you guys are now responsible for "educating" those that are trying to pass the bill so the rest of the world doesn't have to suffer. Don't get lazy now, tell them as soon as fricken possible what they're doing is wrong and that you want to keep helping game developers such as Petro and others.

I know you guys watch TB, but at least do something :).

Between SOPA and the defense bill, I'm not feeling so good about the future of my country.  My brother plans to write our Representative, although that's a little difficult because we technically don't have one right now since he was ousted during a scandal.

Almost makes me want to join Occupy, but the broadness of their message has resulted in them being impotent and pissing off all of their supporters.  If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd almost say that Occupy was started by the government to distract protesters.

You could also say the crisis in Europe was a conspiracy too, since it seems to have escalated moves toward some kind of United States of Europe.

But then again... maybe the real world isn't always like Deus Ex? :cylonA:

THE INTERNETS NEVER ASKED FOR THIS.
WHAT A SHAME.

Scary stuff! So as well as Youtube and Facebook, would this also cover email and search providers? (since they can facilitate piracy/copyright infringement). If so, bye bye Hotmail and Google! And if i understand it right you could even stretch it to Apple's new Match service, which is arguably just a way to launder pirated music?

Ah, you made a thread for this? Good. Good.
More people need to know about this abomination the American government is trying to force into the world.

Lets hope all those idiotic politicians will soon be dead.
Got to love how America yet again is trying to control something for the entire world. But hey, MONEY! :D :D :D

Yep, pretty much how the majority of the American people that know about this bill feel.

Um....um...ummmmmmmm......um.....ummmmmm...........um........*smokes weed*.....um............

Edit:

Goes into more detail and people saying we lost.....If this passes I truly hope someone invades USA to get rid of that bill. Probably being naive that someone may attack USA over this bill, but if it does spark a war it'll be WW3. Nicely done......*golf clap*.

Well, guess I'm going to get owned million times over.....I'm not pleased one bit. All hell is going to break loose down south...........

--------

Edit: Talking to some people and they're ignoring it. They think that it is only to deal with piracy or that it has low support. I'm scared and figuring out a way to fight back....

I think it all blows. I mean, congrats to Mega Upload for trolling UMG and showing the world what the corporate monkeys who are backing the SOPA bill and other forms of censorship will do even if there are no right infringements taking place.

Look at those people. Do they look like the kind of people who understand the internets and the technology behind them? Nope.

lol, Activision is supporting this bill? Not trying to work down their "evil" status, are they? Who's next to jump on the bandwagon? Blizzard?

Actually..TotalBiscuit tweeted that he made a whoopsie.

It's EA that supports this, not Activision.

So much for trying to redeem itself as evil publisher in the past few years. :<

Meh, EA are still pretty obviously pure evil. I'll admit they're less evil or less... terrible than they used to be, but no one should be in any doubt :cylonA:

And to think, mans... they published and developed Desert Strike once :crybaby:

Yeah, to think they were turning over a new leaf back in 2008, then they start pulling all this crap. Still, I'd rather prefer to support EA than Activision any time of the day.

Right now, I probably feel the same... oddly enough.

Activision too like EA "used to be cool" as it were.

Well I'm not really surprised about that either. Though like the others, I would rather throw in my lot with EA than with Activision lately.

Here's hoping not all Americans are plain stupid and SOPA/ProtectIP are crushed. Because really, this is supposed to be a global decision, as the Internet doesn't exclusively belong to America.

Or so they'd like to think. Because a country as tiny and insignificant as America - next to the sheer volume and expanse of space - is granted full ownership of its near infinite boundaries? Stuff em'.
