Same here. It's that some things haven't been translated into english or I would never use the Dutch version.

Yeah, lovely examples are when the English version is about 10k+ words and the Dutch one about 3 lines.

And it's not like English is the only language spoken in the US either. Maybe they should take down the Spanish one too or what have you... but then it gets complicated. One would think they'd just take the whole thing down.

EDIT: Oh Christ, I have 2 Wikipedia articles open as we speak... tomorrow will be difficult o_o

Well, blackout has begun. I think this might be a mortal blow to SOPA. When Google gets in the fight it gives no quarter.

Around one hour prior to the Op posting this, I made the same thread on the EoN forums, also with TB's video. Only 5 replies to that one though.
Wikipedia has gone dark (even in the UK), along with many Youtube channels, including TB's channels and YOGSCast. Google.com is also redirecting to the UK site (which it doesn't normally).

Since recently we have a new opening as Active Member, do you want to fill up that position? It doesn't pay and it requires you to post at least once a day, but if you feel up to it it's yours!

But you might notice that we think more in depth to politics, religion and other such nonesence. That's why we are on the 4th page

I think this is quite an awesome experience, even though most blocks are easily worked around (IE when you have slow internet connection you can just pauze the loading of the page in time before the scripted 'blackout'.  That's how I am surfing Wikipedia without turning off javascript.)

I should probably come here more often, considering I made this account 2 years ago and have yet to post anything before now. Although I'm rather tied to EoN right now, since I became Admin of EoNTube.

Yep. It's quite an underwhelming "blackout" really.

So it works even better when disabling Javascript? I hadn't though of that...
Christ, this is a real piss poor blackout.

I suppose though, that most people who haven't heard of SOPA or didn't care, probably wouldn't figure out how to bypass it anyway

Nice to see a bit of movement in YouTube channels blocking out their channels, most of which probably due to Yogscast and TB. How could I pass on a good blackout?

I see they are sticking with the "Abuse of Power" plan.

MPAA announced today that a web blackout is an 'abuse of power'. To me it seems more like Hollywood is no long boxing vs 9 year olds.
