I searched a day ago and found this old sci-fi cartoon animated series called Invasion America, from 1998. I remember seeing only a few bits of it many years ago.
It was produced by Steven Spielberg and his Dreamworks studio.

I've never seen it, but it seems pretty legit, I watched the whole first episode. I might have to start watching it should I ever get more free time
