Hmm....just watched the "King of Thorn" movie and found it interesting. Still thinking about it, trying to digest what happened in the movie. Not confused, just thinking what happened in that movie. I'd recommend it for those that didn't watch it.
Spoiler
Inception? Googled a bit and noticed people whining about the CGI, the ending being rushed, and the main character being whiny. If I listened to them I wouldn't be able to enjoy anything in life so *ignores*. I found it nice. Sure, it might be predictable, but it's a fun kind of predictable......unless you're insanely picky to the point where you won't eat your favorite food.

Mawaru Penguindrum:
Anybody watching this mind-screw of a show? Its quite weird, but in a very good way. Don't pin the weird on me, but the weirdness of Mawaru instead. Our life is controlled by fate and we don't amount to anything useful. According to the Anime every human's life is worse then those of lemming people - predetermined by something divine. The Penguin Queen doesn't like you, you won't amount to anything useful!
Comparable Animes would be........Vampire Bund and Bakemonogatari art, animation, atmosphere wise.
Spoiler
The "Fate Queen" is so damn full of herself, and quite vulgar. Some of you might relate to her . The summoning sequence lasts ten episodes so bear with it if you do watch it.
It's a good thing that trailer shows so much about the anime!
Jokes aside....the trailer for that movie showed spoilers so might as well listen to the beauty in the music to get a feel for the whole thing. As for Penguindrum, just view the other 100's of PV/trailers! Lazy ass! Not going to spam PF with those trailers. Too many of 'em.
As for Redline, I want to but I keep coming across its alternative.
----------
Watched two episodes of Mirai Nikki and it is on the same level as Deadman Wonderland. Not as gory, but just as serious. Death by phone! Your future? Already dictated and constantly changing Stay alive in this game of survival you noobs!
I cannot believe this. It's like a sequel to one of my favourite animes from 6 years ago (well Last Exile was in 2003 but I only watched it in around 2005)
I hope to god the main cast is more than just them loli-looking pilots though (she's actually supposed to be like, 15 so maybe it's just this pic).
Downloading Ep 1, will watch on Saturday
Well you're doomed, I'm afraid. See the text at the bottom of that picture? Yes, that's right: Gonzo.
As I recall, they made the original Hellsing anime. The one that had virtually nothing to do with the actual story, threw in a bunch of unimportant British characters and made up a Mary-Sue character and cast it as the main antagonist. Generally it was crap-on-a-stick all around.
That and they made the cutscenes for BlazBlue Continuum Shift:
...All of which were terribly lacking in detail, about 30 seconds max length, and poorly animated. Any other animation studio could have made a better job.
Penguindrum... I'll try watching it, but only after it's over. Based on all the hype on another forum I visit, it's probably not the sort of thing I like. If it's like Bake, then extra so. Still, I hated Haruhi during the hype season and when it was over, I ended up liking it, so who knows.

Gonzo also did the original Last Exile, the one that has 10 times less moe than the current one. I assumed since the sequel was being done by the same guys as for the original, it'd be somewhat similar. Well I'll have to see a few more eps to find out. If it sucks, it'll be the first anime since K-ON!! that I will drop mid-season...
Pity dubbing takes so long. Even if that is any good, it will be years before I can actually enjoy it.
(note: don't start a sub vs. dub argument. I like dubs because I can look away from the screen without missing a critical piece of dialoge and nothing is changing that fact)
On another tangent: Does anyone have any suggestions for good series that are available on the internet that I don't have to hunt for a torrent to watch? I mainly watch stuff on netflix, but the descriptions they give for series can make anything sound boring an uninteresting.

From this I would recommend:
(Some may have seen but just recommending this in general from BoD's question.)
- Ah! My Goddess
- Baccano
- Basilisk
- Birdy the Mighty (Quite neat actually)
- Blassreiter
- Blue Gender
- Chobits
- Corpse Princess
- Dance in the Vampire Bund
- Darker Than Black
- Desert Punk (Only if you want stupid comedy)
- Eden of the East
- Full Metal panic
- Ga-Rei Zero
- Ghost Hunt
- Gunslinger girl
- Heroic Age
- Initial D First (trying to find third for myself)
- Kaze no Stigma
- Last Exile
- Moonphase
- Noir
- Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom
- Samurai Champloo
- Sengoku Basara
- Soul Eater
- Spice and Wolf
- The Sacred Blacksmith
- Tokyo Majin
- [C]
- xxxHolic
And if you just want pure story then try Erin. If you get bored than too bad! People complain they want story then they just waltz away mumbling to themselves .

Hmm......Ya, I'm pretty sure most in this thread seen half of what is on this list but ya.

Anyways, wanted to poke at Guilty Crown today. Read that the show is overhyped on Myanimelist.net, saw it mentioned on twitter and only seemed to like the first 5 or so minutes of the show. Got this Code Geass (terrorism & Mecha) + Macross (Singing) + Soul eater vibe (weapons) to it all. The art is nice, but I couldn't get into it that much. I'm currently on the fence with this....Guess I need more eps.
I say the crown for the best Anime is tie with Fate/Zero and Mirai Nikki this season. We'll see which one gets it at the end.

Ya, so way to narrow those choices down.
I'm pretty sure all of those are on netflix, the problem is as I stated, none of them sound interesting from the descriptions.
- Ah! My Goddess (seen it and Flights of Fancy)
- Birdy the Mighty (meh)
- Blue Gender (saw it the first time it was on adult swim)
- Corpse Princess (watched it, disappointed they took it off netflix when I went to rewatch)
- Desert Punk (Only if you want stupid comedy) (too stupid for me, couldn't get past the first couple of episodes)
- Full Metal panic (watched all three seasons)
- Last Exile (about to rewatch this)
- Samurai Champloo (seen it, good story, but can't stand the music, prefer cowboy bebop)
- Spice and Wolf (waiting for the next season)

That's because the same guy who directed the Code Geass anime has written it.
As decent as Code Geass was, I've already seen it. I don't need to see it again revamped in another form.

Hah, Mirai Nikki's OP kicks ass. Apparently, the singer for Yousei Teikoku may or may not be associated with Denkare, which is only my favorite Japanese music group in all of everything.

Ok, I got bought into Guilty Crown, it's awesome. Shana Final? Seems interesting so far. Mirai Nikki? Wow...my Halloween day was gory with episode 4 . Crazy yandere Yuno lol.
Anyways, Fate/Apocrypha has just been announced. Maybe again as it was known as an MMO project earlier on. I wonder if it'll be an Anime or a game as it was formally known as.....My favorite anime series being expanded on a lot, wow.
Still taking my sweet ass time playing the Fate/Extra game that was supposedly called "girly" by someone on here, silly person. That game is actually quite unforgiving. Create lots of save files and hope you get dealt the best attack combo!
So I noticed Funimation has spice and wolf season 2 streaming on their website.
Now the question is: do I want to pay $8(/month) to access it? What else do they have streaming I might want to watch? Hmmm.
On another note, I tired watching Rideback since the description they had on netflix didn't sound too bad. I was expecting a racing series, instead I get a crappy political/police intrigue show.
