Elfen Lied was too sadistic.

anyone seen Zombie Loan? it's pretty good, like if Death Note had sex with Devil May Cry.

Anime...god...its awesome, but i have to keep my fanaticism secret from my mum (y dad knows though, good thing they are divorced!).

the coolest anime i have seen is elfen lied.gave me emotional and mental strength to know one day i'd watch it...now that i have,i feel...nyu.(you can see what we did there, can't you?)

because of my secret keeping,i have seen little/scarce amounts of anime.but if people must know,i have seen in addition the first season GITS: SAC (and im trying to view second season),patlabor, steamboy and a few episodes of tenchi muyo, chobits and trigun.i also tried to watch laputa once...damned wrong region message!

EDIT-bugger,i missed appleseed off the list.how could i forget that?

Well ain't this interesting. Fate/Stay Night's scenery is based on the real city, every building is actually in there including that shed and the castle. Let me go find the link and i'll edit it into this post.

edit:
Just click Part 1-10
http://kanai_soujya....o.jp/fuyuki.htm
and the map from both Fate and Hollow Ataraxia, just scroll down the page for second link:

Heres the one from "Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni"
http://kendra.wordpr...eal-hinamizawa/

I'm shocked to see its a real city but under a different name.

- Neon Genesis Evangelion + The End of Evangelion
- Ghost in the Shell movies + Stand Alone Complex
- Azumanga Daioh
- Naruto

And of course:

- Hellsing

Not the original Hellsing anime that followed none of the manga plot and threw in a Mary-Sue Incognito that is. I mean the real Hellsing: Hellsing OVA. ;)

Yeah, there are a couple of them. It looks like a lot of the animation will have similar sequences from the original, meaning the first couple of movies will probably be on the Death & Rebirth level. It's the later ones I'm most interested in, since they will focus on something past the End of Evangelion.

Not that I didn't like The End of Evangelion (quite the opposite. I wouldn't mind if it ended like The End again ;) ). I hold all of the series and movies in high regard, and I've talked about them for about 7 years. It certainly will be interesting to see Evangelion return after a long period of dormancy.

Well if you couldn't guess from my avatar, Spriggan is like my fave anime movie. More so than the ever popular Akira. I like Cowboy Be-bop too, Ghost in the Shell, Initial_D [when is the 5th stage out, dammit!] Gundam series, also some more other like Portlabor [sp?] and generally anything with cool robots :)
If you guys can list some other good ones, cos it's really hard for me to get access of stuff over here, dvd wise. I mean i could download it, but that not nice, is it?

I wouldn't say it's exaclty like Death and Rebirth as it will introduce new characters, and some older characters earlier, I think Kaworu is going to pop up earlier.

and all the redone animation looks great.

Probably. I actually liked the introduction of Kaworu in the series, even if his character had very little screentime, or rather there was little character buildup.

My guess is this iteration of Evangelion will adopt some more manga-friendly influence, such as the early introduction of Kaworu, an extension on Kaji's background, as well as other various elements left untouched by the original anime. Though unlike most other shows, the anime came (or rather, was completed) before the manga. This is probably where the "new EVA" steps in, as Kaworu will likely pilot another Unit since Asuka will not have become mentally unstable. Or perhaps like Touji, Kaworu will be drafted as her replacement at a later stage, after people have further gotten to know his character.

the manga adaptation is pretty sweet, am I the only one who loved Kaworu's double chainsaw thingy?

but I heard that it's gonna be very violent, like End of Evangelion style of violence since they can't be censored like they were with the original series.

and I do agree that Kaworu had a pretty good introduction, but I would like to see his character more as he was a very interesting character.

i LOVE corny "lets save the world" plots.. really i love campy animes as much as serious ones. Its the ones that fail at serious i don't really care for.
I love FLCL and Ghost in the Shell, but i didn't really like s.c.r.y.e.d.  I happen to be a huge Hellsing fan though.

The only anime I really watch is Bleach, subbed of course. I'm not a big anime fan, but I've just never gone out of my way to watch many series'. Still, Bleach has some great characters and an entertaining storyline, so who knows if I actually bothered to watch more shows I might like it more.
