Well, then can we at least get english names for the maps?  Most of us don't read (or speak) german...

Yes, we should have english translated names, I mean its just editing one line in "Map Properties", and yea if I knew German, I would do it, but I don't.

Does the no unautorized distribution mean no MP skirmish? Since it auto-downloads them...

BTW: You're supposed to put it into "custom maps" not data/art/maps. Now I have to fix it because it didn't mention that part.

did that come with the mod launcher, because I didn't have it before.

Someone should still have mentioned that so we know where to put it.

You dont need to tell me how to install it. I already did. I was just saying.

Nobody answered my question about if MP skirmish counted as unautorized distribution.

Another discovery...every time we have tried to play the FoC maps in space (with more than 1v1) the game synch errors.  This is in multiplayer of course, but without fail, and no matter which players are playing them (we have had about a dozen different guys doing different combinations to be sure it isn't one or two people), the game immediately synchs out.  So we can't use the new maps in multiplayer :(

Wierd.... Possibly a simultanious exception error by everyone at once? Unless you just have really bad luck and there's a cheater in every game.

They aren't exception errors, but synch errors.  It only happens to us on the maps in question, when playing online.

Odd thing is, I have played these maps successfully in 1v1.  However, when you add more than 2 folks, the synch errors happen as soon as the map loads.   :glare:

Hey guys,

I downloaded the map packs for EaW. After the installation nothing worked. I read all your entries, moved the files where they are suposed to be. Nothing worked. Then I downloaded the patch 1.05 for EaW. After the installation of the patch. It recognized at least 2 of the maps out of the map pack. But non of the others. So I can play two maps out of 15.

So, I ask for your help. Pls, could somebody advice me.

thx.

Something is wrong with that installer files.

I have downloaded and installed all FOC maps, but in the data folder are only 41 files.
In Mappack #7 there are 30 files alone, and it should be ~100 in total.
I installed the files to another location to test what will happen than, but there where only 41 maps too.

The Launcher didn`t work for me too, wonder if someone react to our post`s.

EDIT:

I request the files without an installer, re-downoaded the files from another location and nothing has changed. :petroicon:

I was wondering if someone could please tell me which of the map packs has that promised Battle of Hoth map in it :).  Also, I assume these are all skirmish maps and not Galaxy Conquest maps?
