G.S.F.S - Ghostly's Secret Forced Society

Posted Image
(The modern version of the G.S.F.S with a more curved logo.)

Theme/Anthem:
http://www.esnips.co...f/GSFS-Theme(2)

Background story:

During the year 2018, a new conflict on Planet Earth gave birth to a new faction called the "G.S.F.S". Many governmental bodies tried to turn their citizens into simple minded people without any human rights. Martial Law was enforced around the globe and people were treated similar to cattle. "G.S" was irritated by this, and forced the "G.S.F.S" hacking group to counter this. The best hackers secretly grouped up to do some (what they call) research to find new ways of combating the Western super powers. But during this time, G.S.F.S was pretty much defenseless and could only attack via computer software. They tried siphoning money into new bank accounts as well as taking hidden prototypes from these governmental bodies to use as their own.

After growing a bit larger, and hiring mercenaries, this faction was able to become mobile. They tried to stay mobile as not to get raided by various nation's military patrols. More mercenaries and more solider deserters joined the G.S.F.S faction and managed to gain an Aircraft carrier along with two frigates. Military secrets were also leaked to the G.S.F.S giving them a sword to fight back with.

They then continued hacking from a frigate ship and continued siphoning funds from rich super powers making gaining more funds to build these prototypes.

A few nations got seriously agitated, for obvious reasons, and staged raids on the fleet, with partial success. Many attacks were staged by both sides with both sides being constantly resupplied. New weapons were being given to this mobile that its strength kept on rising to match that of any aggressive nation, while gaining favor from other nations that rather seek peace. These other nations rather gain power through economy and technology, not war.

As time passed, there were many victories and many serious defeats that the faction decided to head into space and build crafts in space. Many cargo space shuttles were hi-jacked and created to help send sections of these bigger space crafts into space. The American Army tried to stop these space projects on many occasions, succeed three times, but were seriously outmatched by software hacks by the hacker core. The first space project was of Russian design, dubbed Substantial Relic. This would slowly become the staging ground of the G.S.F.S and the excuse of many aggressive nations on planet Earth to wage a full war with them.

Since greed and arrogance was in the politician's minds, many defeats were seen being drawn back by the same hostile nations. However, it wasn't all beautiful since the French Aircraft carrier that was gained was sunk eventually by Joint force of Americans, Germans, The British, and the Canadian Forces.

After the construction of the new flag ship "Substantial Relic". Americans of course haven't backed down and wanted to shine in the light some more, they secretly construct a few space fighters of their own to assault the G.S.F.S ships catching them off guard. In desperate need to counter this, the G.S.F.S gained more resources from friendly nations and attempted to counter this serious and stubborn threat.

New ship parts where being sent up into space to build the Porcupine class Frigate as well as supplying the GSFS Space Forces with new Fortress Interceptor prototypes.

Units/People List:
(Unit/People Names will change, they're temp.)
Unit/People Name - Type - Media

------------------------------------------------------------------

"G.S" - Leader of the GSFS
He was someone who opposed government restrictions on people living in their home nations. Everybody who helped build a nation was now treated like sheeps, with no human rights or laws to protect them. "G.S" opposed this Martial Law and collected as many hackers he could to steal blue-prints and find places to get them built. He and many others formed the G.S.F.S (Ghostly's Secret Forced Society [Strat has a better name]).

------------------------------------------------------------------

- Substantial Relic - FlagShip Version (Space) - Image

A Russian and Japanese prototype ship hidden from the public from the 1980's. It was brought back and built by the GSFS faction who ended up building it from scratch in space. They sent cargo shuttles with the pieces to space to have them built. It now acts as a space headquarters for the GSFS while the Shadow Fortress acts as a mobile base on land.

------------------------------------------------------------------

- Substantial Relic - Vadlez Version - (Naval type - Earth)
(Valdez's Variant of the ship.)

A ship based on the original, modified to look more human like then its original counterpart. It has a sharp rear end for ramming and a aircraft hanger door at the rear. on its wing tips, it has turrets pointing downwards.

French Aircraft Carrier:
(- Wiki link)

During the birth of the GSFS group, it only had a mobile van to hack into other systems and needed somewhere safer and more mobile to hide. They hired like minded people and stormed the aircraft carrier when it was sitting in the docks.

Once gained, they would also store more weaponry and hacking equipment on it to help grow the group's influence. This aircraft carrier acted as a perfect hide out up until the faction got too mobile and too active for its own good. It was later sunk in the battle of Lorient, raised, and modified into the Shadow Fortress.

------------------------------------------------------------------

- Shadow Fortress - Main mobile command center on Earth - Image (Red outline circles bridge)

Originally, it was a stolen French aircraft carrier that was later blown up by the American naval forces in the sheer rage of jealousy. This Aircraft carrier was then brought back up to the surface and refitted into a giant floating, moving, fortress. Its heavily armed, can store hordes of various units and can withstand a fight on its own for quite some time.

Since the aircraft carrier was refitted, it was also cut in half to hold missiles (for assault and defensive purposes), which means the hull of the aircraft carrier can attach and move apart exposing the middle vessel joined to the two hulls.

Hunting Savior Class Destroyer - Earth navy:

Armaments are 4 pairs of VLS cells and 2 155mm naval guns on the side "wings". Designed before the Battle of Lorient and pushed into service right after.

------------------------------------------------------------------

- Shadow Dart - Interceptor type - Image

A moderately armed fighter that is meant to intercept incoming bombers and planes. Its role is to protect the ground forces from hostile threats and any threats trying to get into space. The Shadow Dart was based on the fictional Mig-31 Firefox design and heavily mass-produced. Unlike its lighter cousin, The Shadow fighter, this one is seen more often for defensive and raid type operations.

Posted Image

------------------------------------------------------------------

- Shadow Fighter - Main Fighter - Image

The main fighter of the GSFS using a mix of Japanese and Russian design, it is a light scout fighter. It helps escort the Shadow Dart to both the defensive and assault lines while keeping the enemies off the tail. Also being the first mass-produced fighter for the faction, it helped inspire the faction's logo (not really). Most of the enemy pilots that encountered it called it a "Ghost" due to its small size, weird looks, and how swiftly it enters and exits the battlefield.

------------------------------------------------------------------

- Porcupine Class Frigate - Missile Frigate type -
Image

A transport vehicle for the Substantial Relic class ships and the Shadow Fortress. It is armed with missiles on the belly and on the top, with any threat coming nearby getting severely chewed up in the process (hence its name). It shoots the missiles forward and downwards only, but the missiles can be adjusted to shoot in any direction.

It can carry light-to-medium vehicles and a few squads of infantry to and from earth.

------------------------------------------------------------------

- Fortress Interceptor - Heavy Interceptor/Bomber - Image, Image2

The Fortress interceptor are the ship protectors of the Faction. They are seen protecting Flag-ships, command ships, and any well fortified areas. Due to their high carrying payload and heavy armor, they can be a formidable foe to anybody that dares to attack them.

They have been designed by the GSFS faction themselves, and have been designed to fly within Earth's atmosphere, underwater, as well as space.

- QAV (Quick Assault Vehicle) - (image)

The Quick Assault Vehicle was designed by the GSFS with references from Australian Firefighter technology. This vehicle can withstand a direct missile impact, or two, and can withstand very hot temperatures. It carries anti-infantry weaponry as well as anti-armor shells to help assist it to escape from the front-lines.

Due to its versatility, it has also been given a marine role for ambush purposes.

------------------------------------------------------------------

- GSFS - Sniper Elite:

The Sniper Elite, never seen and always a threat to its foes. They have been constantly trained year in year out to pick up threats and dispatch them. They have also been given the role of hacking due to their highly trained stealth capabilities.

------------------------------------------------------------------

- GSFS - Elite Infantry

Similar to the sniper elite, they have been constantly trained whenever possible. Since quality is their motto, no man is left with chance, but skill. Being trained as infantry, they have also been trained to use any known gun.

GSFS - Helicopter (Prototype version)
(Image)

You'll notice this one was spawned the same time we had our fictional land/space battle for "Total War fan-fic"
.
[i]A new prototype stolen from the Americans and upgraded with the help of Japanese and German engineers that defected from their national homeland. This unique helicopter uses a (currently unknown) theory of levitation using a(unknown) method of pushing the craft up. The Rotor blades can move forward (to move backwards), backwards (to move forwards), or even in an "X" formation to hover. Its later prototypes were later armed and used in combat against hostile Earth nations.

Ya, I'll update the first post when we get things ironed out more. Probably might change the summary story to something more detailed.

If you want to help, you could redesign my concepts I did. I'm quite pleased with the command post ship though......

Why thank you :p.

Can't have a frigate/landing craft be assaulted with ease now can we? Missile spam ftw heh.  :intheshade:

Now then, off to go ponder how the land/naval battles should be fought........ideas are welcome.

Bad wording on both our parts.

Meant with what vehicles to design for any gaps and the tactics/strategy my faction uses, as well as other nations.

Everything can be compensated for by having a larger nuclear stockpile than the other side ;)

The mushroom cloud is so cool...

In fact cool enough to make me do one for UAW. I tool Orlok's siege projectile and transformed it into a nuke mushroom cloud. Yeah the particle editor is awesome.

...anyone get the feeling those designs look alien? Needs moar humanity. Liek this:

Ghostly's turret is actually anime derived.

What he does is take the dango daikazoku:

Posted Image

...and shift the position of the eyes a little. And so it becomes turret daikazoku. Yes Ghostly I know how you did it. Personally I refrain from depicting turrets as circles with 2 lines sticking out...

Everything sci-fi called alien. You or Loony ever heard of technological advancements? :p

Interesting. Wings were meant to open up showing hordes of missiles stored within.

Well explain to me why the units and weapons in BF2142 don't look alien? Human stuff has a certain design style to it that identifies it as human. It's how Bungie ensures we can tell apart the UNSC from the Covenant.

Missiles should come out from the underside. That's how planes do it in real life.

I'm not them and I don't like things being restrictive. I hate bulkiness as well.

Because its one of those early type space craft prototypes that make little sense and a hybrid craft (land and space). Fires more in space while its nearly defenseless in earth's atmoshpere

Human stuff doesn't have to look bulky. Look at the B-2 Spirit for instance.

And how do you get that thing into outer space!?

Yeah tablet really helps things. And that earlier image is in fact only a coloured sketch with shading too.

Tried one more alternate concept

Posted Image

Also a sketch, so if you looked at the full res pic you'd probably see that the lines are rather messy with sketch marks. That's why it's good to shrink stuff down (the ship in the pic is about a quarter of its actual image size at half the actual size it's like this)
