I'll be putting this method into practice after I've finished CoD4.

Can tell by your atrocious spelling and crap syntax that your base language is NOT english for that I forgive you what may have been lost in translation.
If you had bothered to read my post before letting your mouth rattle off like an ouzi s.m.g. you would have seen that in no way was my mail aimed at You, or the likes of you, (Thats people who tried to help...) but it WAS aimed at the few hardcore posters in here who are defending PG's stance at keeping us out of the loop visavis patch release date and how they fixed it..
Further to your information, sonny I KNOW I'm far older than you... Hence can get crabby whenever the feck I like.
Oh yeah, and I DIDNT ask for help.
Now sit over there >> and have a cup of tea and a cigarette. CALM DOWN.
Would you losers at Petrowhatever quit screwing around on the message boards, cutting down unhappy customers, and maybe take a little credit for pulling off one of the biggest scams ever! I am inspired to make a Command and Conquer rip off myself. I will call it Galaxy at War, and it will have four, count them.. Four different factions. The entire budget for the game will be spent on marketing and the actual game disc will just be a cd that brings up an error that tells the custumer that their system is crap and not supported. Maybe there will be a link to a website for "support". The customers that shelled out their money would atleast be able to grieve together about their wasted money. But that would let the little customer have too much satisfaction. That is not allowed. Galaxy at War staff members will tease the ripped off customers with a soon to be released patch that will fix everything. Oh, the magical band-aid. Other staff will post unofficial messages cutting down the unhappy customers and pointing fingers at every business partner that did not make a bad product.
Ah "feck"???? What the Frack does that mean? I could go on more but I think the business model is to close to P____________.
"at the few hardcore posters in here who are defending PG's stance" errrrr Employees. It does not matter how old you are if you using emoticons to talk trash to unhappy customers. I can see all 5'8" of your 40 year old PG employed self "
$60 game + 3 Hours of my time, a $60 value (at least)= $120
I will accept that.
Or maybe it is time for us unhappy customers to start "bonding".

yup they sure didn't say anything or address it at all.
what loop? You know what they know. They fixed it, the patch is with SEGA, when they're done it goes to M$ to be verified again... How can they give a release date for something they don't have any control over?
ya and it shows with how they handled windows ME when they scrapped it and anyone who had it didn't get updates, patches, a refund or anything. Their customer support is superior...
really so you read through the pages of code found it and told them how to fix it? man you are good.
of course you havn't they don't post in only this thread they've actually posted stuff in many different areas on the subject when they happen to see it asked.
Like I said if you really wanna get this going ask SEGA they are the ones who control the patch as far as I know at this moment.

The above part of this message was a reply to someone else but it pertains to you too Fox.
Fox, "a huge thanks... blah blah blah" is not an apology. Quit trying to defend your company and resolve this.
With all those clever out of context replies you must be super smart. Or maybe you were the one that came up with the idea to rip on people that have had their money stolen from them?

"the upcoming patch will solve most of the problems folks "
MOST?
I think the PG staff/ Sega, whoever the hell wants to take responsibilty for this should provide people with a way they can get a refund for this. Trading standards anyone?

Isn't true that Petro has only released 2 games plus an expansion pack so far?
For all the ppl that said stuff about never buying a game from them again, u won't have a very hard time!

The patch has been done since mid January, the long and arduous approval process is what has hindered the ability for us to get it online. I would love to say the patch is in the final few days of testing at Microsoft, which it is, but what if it got kicked out? We are sorry this process is long and painful, but there is no way around it. We have remained mum on the matter because it is not proactive to get your hopes up weekly and smash them down with a sledge hammer.
On Monday we'll have driph post up the full patch notes, which should help give you guys a better idea of what to expect. If Microsoft gives the ok, which could be any day now, we'll let you guys know the second it happens.

Interesting... I do hope it's only a few days, if not a little under a week. Even though I just bought this yesterday and have not been waiting as long, I am the impatient type.
And as for Petroglyph... I've bought plenty of their products, first time I've ever seen a problem like this. And the fault actually lies with Microsoft, since they are the last ones to have their hands on it. Why didn't they double check it? Of course there will be lazy people here and there who don't do everything they should, just don't blame the company or group as a whole.
And as for those who have kept us UTD, thank you very much so! I am glad to know I don't have to wait LONG after paying a good $54.11 in cash. ^^;; And as for a side note... I can't wait until Halo Wars is out.

Command and Conquer the First Decade was supposed to have patch 2 for the insane amount of crashes which was never released even after promises of it... and you are saying petroglyph has horrid support. It's almost the worst logic I've ever seen.

I can't see why you have to diss blizzard. Can't you just accept that it's the best game house and everything it does is perfect.

Are you perfect? Is anything perfect? No...
guess you never bought diablo II or seen tehir tech support forums... tehy have just as many problems. They had just as many problems with game releases as Petro is... and those were even easier to program...

I never said I was perfect. That is an irrelevent argument - as a progammer I know there is no such thing as perfect code. BUT there is a difference between a bug and a fatal flaw in the software that prevents it from running AT ALL. and not just for a couple of users, but for a large number. Just read this thread.
I never expect to pay for perfect software. my favorite games sometimes crash, or have funny blips which dont bother me. This is different.
"Cant have everything work on the first try" ? this isnt a programming workshop! This is a big release, with a large media campaign behind it. I do expect software that is realsed to be pretty solid. That is why you have a alpha/beta/gold process.
People have a right to be annoyed. There is nothing I can do about it, but wait until something is done, as no one seems to want to provide a refund.
