Hi Guys,

There are a couple things that you can do to increase frame rate in the game.

1. Adjust the tactical game speed

  • Tap the "START" button on the controller
  • Select "OPTIONS"
  • Select "GAME"
  • Adjust the "TACTICAL GAME SPEED" slider to to the right for maximum game speed

What is tactical game speed?

Answer - It is the speed the game runs during combat. So this adjustment will increase the speed at which the game runs.

2. Perform System Maintenance on your 360 by cleaning your HD cache

a. Locate the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
b. Select Memory, select Hard Drive, and then press Y to view the device options screen.
c. On the Xbox 360 Controller, press the X button, press the X button again, press the left bumper, press the right bumper, press the X button, and then press the X button again.
d. You will be prompted to confirm system maintenance, select Yes by pressing A.

Your classic game speed.

There's the other one, Strategic Game Speed which applies to the action going on in the global map (where you have your 3D Earth model)

Errrrr now I feel stupid for asking this but if I lower my game speed, then doesn't it affect everyone else online, or is this only for single player?      I haven't played a game that had these options in years I'm a lil rusty...

So if I follow, strategic is like for Conquer the World mode when you are zoomed out like google Earth then tactical is for when you are actually in a match.

This would explain the medal and patch affects wording of "gaining health during combat."  At first I was like "so it only gains health when it's under fire... no wait I must be missing something."

Do I make sense or am I crazy?

The Patch3 notes include various performance tweaks for both the XBox and multi-core PC users you'll be glad to hear ;)

If you would like to fumble with the Game speeds, they work much better when playing alone in a Skirmish or Campaign match.  You can enter a skirmish against an Easy AI and fight fof the simple attacks they throw at you while comparing the speeds for the one that best suits your needs.

I turtle, so I like it all the way up, as to not make my progress even slower.

:D

If I was on the battlefield and a Science Walker crapped out a massive load of Radiation, I'd quit too.
