I challenge anyone to defeat 5 Hard AIs. :D

The rules are:
*Starting resources may be any amount
*No Defcon
*All AIs must be hard
*You may not have an ally of any sort (human or AI)
*AIs can be any combo of factions

Bonus for being able to do it with these addition rules:
*Game completed in under a hour
*No heroes used
*No super weapons used
*No neutral structures captured

Do not say this challenge is impossible, I just completed it, with the additional rules.
There is actually a surprisingly easy way (maybe multiple) to beat this challenge, even with the additional rules!

yes, this is rather easy to do by exploiting some of the current imbalances (defiler rush = win)...

Then don't rush the AI :p.
But still, maybe you can kill off at least one AI like that, but you can't kill them all.
By mid-game, your base will be covered with enemy armies. It's also crazy how even if you move base, the AIs find it almost immediately .
My game lasted 40 minutes BTW. Not won with any type of rush whatsoever. ;)

I'm currently in saved game at 33 minutes
Starting AIs were Novus, Novus, Novus, Masari, Hierarchy.

3 Novus are gone, Hierarchy is crippled.

I'm Masari atm. I conqueror/disciple rushed all the Novuses and won within 15 minutes, took another 7 to fend off hierarchy's walkers and switch to inquisitor and skylords picked off their reapers and harassed Masari by constantly picking off reapers, matter engines, and knowledge vaults.

Tis not hard at all

Are the 5 AIs in one single team or is it a free for all?
I won't even atempt at this as I normally get my ass beaten with 2 AIs on Medium :p
I'm a slow player and I like to take my time and research/build everything before I engage in battle(damn you Age of Empires!).

Well, you're an expert :p. Try NOT rushing the AIs and see how hard it is.
My method was fighting 5 Novuses as Hierarchy. Starting resources were high on Pacific Southwest.
I ran off into the city to set up a base. Obviously, the AIs found it, and destroyed it (attacked with 2 Mirabels)
But, I had managed to get 3 science walkers down (with the blissful help of cows ;) ). All of them were outfitted with machine magnets and range enhancers. Then it was a trek to the northern tri-cluster of AIs, then down to the other 2. I lost 3 science walker, but I had a carver nearby to send for another.
I had also set up 2 other bases in case the AIs made more attacks.
I won the game in under 45 minutes. B) Lots of fun, not very challenging either. I ended the game with a whopping 110,000 in RM.
So I suppose this topic discussion could go into how to defeat 5 AIs.
it would have been neat if some secret achievements related to this "Skirmish God" :p.

The only danger with this type of game is you can uber-turtle as masari and if the enemy factions are all N/H, they'll burn up the map's resources pretty quick - leaving you free to spank them all silly.

However surviving that first 30mins or so isn't exactly a pushover ;)

Indeed, the first time I tried this was against 4 Novus AIs on the grand canyon map as Hierarchy.
Didn't work very well. For one thing, the slow Hierarchy economy is hard to survive with.

Though, I may attempt a Masari turtling challenge against 7 Hard AIs today and see how that goes. :D

BTW, you can't just sit in your base, you'll get badly screwed over by Novus black holes.
You'd have to create a citadel somewhere for the AI to attack, though they might not always go for it. :ninja:

I did this with 6 hard AI's as Masari. All the AI's where H.
The only way to survive is to go dark mode and have Altea.  Otherwise you get pretty srewed up by the 5 or so Orloks bombarding your base and the occasional matter drop.....

If you can hurry and take out two AI's by rushing, winning is feasible. Spamming turrets really helps!

Yup, if those 5 AI is H, and you let them to go in mid or late game, your problem is only 5 orlok constantly bombarding your base.

However, if we rush those 5 AI, no matter what the faction, H is the second fastest to crumble, N is the fastest. You can win in only 20-30 minutes againts those 5 H if you rush them, i only try it with M, i don't know if it's possible with N.

That's why i ask for very good improvement for the AI.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it already a well known fact that hard AI is bugged so it is actually worse than easy AI or at same level with it?

I am not sure if Hard is bugged, but I do know that Easy really is Uber-easy!

When I try out new build orders, I pick an easy AI and it really does not do anything!

Maybe Hard is more comparable to medium difficulty....

I'll finish it up tonight, unless my AIs have adopted some heavy tactics like trampling archs, then I doubt there are going to win. I'm using 26/90 pop cap of archs, I just keep cranking out units and microing them.

Why is rushing not valid?  It is a strategy and last I checked UaW was Real Time Strategy Game. It's not like I'm using an OP unit, I'm playing just as I would tread my human opponents.
I'm facing all the opponents aka they are on a team on grand canyon, they are on the opposite side of the river and the two river points and I'm on bottom center.

If no rushing was a rule, don't you think I'd have added it in the first post? :p
I merely posted a way to do it without rushing and as a faction that may have a harder time with the challenge.

I did this a while back. Trying to show how op defilers were...

I was Hierarchy (obviously) against 2 masari, 1 hierarchy, and 2 novus. I Eco. boomed, got three assembly walkers out, and had almost a full pop cap of defilers before any of the AIs attacked me. I just went through one by one and killed them... all to easily.

Sadly the replay that I wanted was messed up like so many of my other ones :(

I won took a grand total of 41 minutes 25 seconds. 7 skylords tend to decimate any ground units :D

I finished this challenge yesterday in 22:38 minutes as Novus against 5 Hierarchy.
It really isn't so hard.

I did have to "rush" 2 Hierarchy bases though because they were right next to my base.

Will try today with 6 or 7.
It is better to bring chaos then to receive it.

As a 360 user, I feel left out. I have managed to beat 3 hard ai's on the same team, but not 4. Why? BECAUSE I CANT HAVE MORE THAN 3 AI'S!  <_<
