Community Petrocast Roundtable #01 A community focused Q&A with Petroglyph!

Simply ask questions related to Petroglyph or any of our games, existing or upcoming. We can't guarantee an answer to all of them of course, but we will try! We are currently planning each Petrocast to include at least a couple of community questions.
Please keep your questions consolidated, in one post, and limited to three. We will refresh this thread as it becomes out of date. If a question you asked in a previous thread was not answered, feel free to ask it again in succeeding ones as they are introduced.
Consistent and focused participation may be rewarded by you joining us on the show as a guest speaker. Future rounds will often contain a theme or focus, so be ready!

#1 Was Orlok the Eternal originally intended to be a more sinister character
and was softened into the likable gargantuan machine of death he is in the retail version? I found some rather evil sounding soundclips that suggest he could consume allies as well.
#2 Was Kamal's abduction ability originally intended to function similarly to Orlok's siege cannon in the sence that it would require energy? There are a few unused sound clips where the character mentions "Yeilding your mind to [him]" amoung other things.
#3 Was Kamal originally intended to be female? A few areas of older coding refers to him as a she and that one robed concept could be used for either gender.
#4 In the XML files there is a surface effect called "Alien_Cocoon_Opening", any idea what it was for?
#5 Where did the idea of "aliens versus robots" come from?
#6 In one of the interviews for Mytheon it is mentioned that the Warcaster's minions can "conspire together" to boost their combat capabilities. Does this mean that certain minions grant new abilities/attacks to nearby allies or does this simply mean that the warcaster provides a leadership bonus while the other two classes do not?
#7 Is there any intention of perhaps having "god stones" where one can summon defeated "god" bosses? (maybe Dev only?)
#8 Is the outer band on a stone pictures representative of an associated element or is it for decoration?
#9 Have you fellows ever found a Scorpion in the office before? (couldn't resist

Solus and Evania were temps. They'd have left eventually. IIRC Evania went off to be a CM elsewhere, and Solus's existence is still disputed due to his sheer lack of presence.

Evania was a PA as well as Acting CM - She "left" PG earlier in the year. Around the same time Solus joined.

And Solus 'filled' her position after she 'left'.

Is Petroglyph ever going to attend the GamesCom in Cologne and if yes, is Klepacki going to come with them?
(Just to clarify, what the infamous line in Hell March is about!)

Mytheon has been in development for quite some time now. If possible, could you, both, describe some of the more difficult challenges that each of you faced during development. What type of challenges do you expect to arise because Beta-Testing? Did you learn something from prior game beta-testing stages which you plan to prevent in Mytheon's Beta Testing?
Question 2.) Directed at Chuck K for PG:AA
Hey Chuck what are your feelings toward PG:AA? Being strongly tied to the origins of the series, do you feel PG:AA will greatly appeal towards the still ongoing Panzer General communities? Or is PG:AA a reboot of sorts, appealing to a new generation of gamers? Do you prefer the console or board version of PG:AA more?

Personal opinions are supported by personal beliefs alone. Did you know my duck avatar makes me eviler than you?
