I know some of you might have heard of this but for those who havent this is very interesting to check out. My wife and I have improved our own relationship based this. My family and the dynamic we share is much easier to understand too.
In a nutshell this is a personality system and relies on psychological motivations within each persona. It hits seriously close to the mark on many levels for me. 9 types of personalities and various wing types. The healthy versions and unhealthly too.
Check it out.

Open for discussion of course and I'm sure there will be plenty of skeptics trying to tear this apart. This should be interesting. haha.

Got top thinker and skeptic. I already knew that!
I lean more toward 6 than 5 on certain things, and 5 over 6 on others.

We discussed this in my Psychology class. I'm a 6 or 5 mostly.

I reject both tests on the site on the grounds that their questions are too limited in scope and often contain responses that are interlinked. In short, it is extremely inaccurate - as, of course, is anything that attempts to analyze an intelligent being in such a short time. This case, though, is unusually so.

I knew that would come up. haha. I suggest reading about each type because I agree the test is a limited. I am a solid 6 from what I read in the book I have. There a couple of misses under that type but most of what I read is amazingly close to what I'm about. My unhealthy read is exactly what I've gone through before and now that I'm healthy I'm spot on with that too. Wack.
It amazes people come up with stuff like this at all and get it so close.

I don't know. Just glancing at it, I don't really think that is me.
I agree that the test is far too short and the choices are too few.

And according to the other, colour, test, I'm Blue.
BLUES are motivated by INTIMACY. They seek to genuinely connect with others, and need to be understood and appreciated. Everything they do is quality-based. They are loyal friends, employers, and employees. Whatever or whomever they commit to is their sole (and soul) focus. They love to serve and give themselves freely in order to nurture others' lives.
BLUES have distinct preferences and have the most controlling personality. Their personal code of ethics is remarkably strong and they expect others to live honest, committed lives as well. They enjoy meaningful moments in conversation as well as paying close attention to special life events (e.g. birthdays and anniversaries). BLUES are dependable, thoughtful, and analytical; but can also be self-righteous, worry-prone, and moody. They are "sainted pit-bulls" who never let go of something or someone, once they are committed. When you deal with a BLUE, be sincere and make a genuine effort to understand and appreciate them.

There's a reason for that. People are more willing to believe the results they are given based on a test even if they are entirely random, or just composed of a bunch of generalities. They'll even work to make them seem to fit better. I don't have any links, but it's a common topic in Psych 101.

Well I never actually took the test before, in my Psych class we just watched a short video about it and then basically learned the definitions of each type. I deduced that I was a 5 or 6 and then yesterday taking that short version of the test, backed that up. I knew I was a skeptic already before taking the test. (or before ever hearing about it)

I'm not necessarily referring to this test, but this type of test in general. This one might be better, I haven't looked at it all. It's just a matter of knowing that most of the tests use your own willingness to see the attributes they suggest in yourself that make them seem accurate.
