1. The CG was really obvious in places
2. The little things reminded me of buzz droids
3. Tobey McGuire looks like Mark Hamill
4. The "shut up!" thing was funny.

Meh. I have something of a love/hate relationship with the Spidey movies. Spider-man is my second-favorite hero, but the movies...I don't know. I didn't particularlly like the way Doc Oc (my second favorite villain) was pretty much ignored during the second one, while the only thing we get to see of Venom (favorite anti-hero) is supposedly ten minutes worth.
Judging from that preview, I'd say the only good thing was Spidey's Web-ball ability. Otherwise, neither of the Goblins have ever really interested me. And there was still too much talking.

That's another thing, they chose a puny wimp as the guy behind Venom. Eddie Brock was varsity football, and he wasn't the quarterback. He was big. He was buff. He got even bigger and buffer with the Venom symbiote.
Meh. I dunno. The X-Men movies were pretty spot-on in my book (their portrayals of Magneto and Wolverine being my favorite) but the Spidey films need more work.

I enjoyed the first film. It was nice to see live action spiderman. And Tobey did great. Dr. Octopus was good in the 2nd, but something about Tobey and Kirsten wasn't clicking for me. Just seemed weak-I guess I didn't really buy that they really liked or loved each other.
That preview reinforced my feeling that they don't seem to click. I didn't care for Harry's look in the preview either.
I have gone back and watched X-men 1, 2 and 3 several times. I never felt like watching Spiderman 1 or 2 again. Not that they were bad, just nothing all that special to me.

Willem Dafoe in the 1st movie (Norman Osborn) was awesome in that one, he made a creepy villian. James Franco (Harry Osborn) from this bit of footage, seems not as good as his father villianwise but maybe it's supposed to be like that since Harry unlike his father seems to not be as naturally inclined to be evil. I am very interested to see what he will do in 3. He knows that his best friend is spider man. And as we just saw peter told him that he didn't really kill his father. Then he just screams SHUTUP and tears the wall off of the building. Is he just ignoring that fact? Does he need someone to take it out on? I wanna see what happens to him. Heck, who knows, maybe he will help spider man by killing venom, which is still peter. ?? The venom thing confuses me In the comics/cartoons venom was a seperate guy and looked differnt too. I'm not sure where they are going with the venom thing.

The Venom symbiote has had over five owners if I recall. I don't remember the exact details, but I do know Peter wore the symbiote for awhile, but then got rid of it after he realized it was alive and it had its own intentions, which weren't exactly good. The symbiote then melded with Eddie Brock to become the Venom that most people know, and by far the coolest anti-hero of the spidey universe.
Then there's Carnage, but that's an even longer story...
I watched the Spider-man 1 movie only once. 'Twas good, but too much drama for me, with a bit over-acted. Second one I've seen a couple times, but I usually skip half the movie.
X-Men movies I've seen dozens of times. The character interactions and action are pretty close to comic-books and what I consider a good movie. The first one had awesome character advancement for Wolverine, going from loner who hates everybody to somebody who's actually starting to care.
-Edit- For your consideration:
Topher Grace, Spider-Man 3's Venom:
Eddie Brock's Venom:
I think the only part that fits is the size of the head and the size of the waste...

While some may or may not like his acting style, I think a perfect Venom would have been Vin Diesel. The man already plays anti-heroes with bad attitudes, and that is Venom in a nutshell. 'sides, Vin has the right build for it. But nooo, nobody asks me these things.

I think they are, it's called "Dark Knight" or something like that. Vin Diesel ain't that bad I haven't seen very many movies with him in it but He's good enough to be a villian, and he has the build too. I wonder if venom will have a lot of dialouge, doesn't really seem like he should and if he does it needs to be in the venomish voice like they used in the cartoon.

What? Are you kidding me? I hate Vin Diesel. Having a last name the same as a sort of fuel is bad enough, but his acting is even worse. His acting job in Fast and Furious + XXX was... Nightmarish.
I just hope they come out with a sequel to Batman Begins.
Both of those are terrible movies that shouldn't even be mentioned. If you want a good example of Vin's acting, watch Chronicles of Riddick and/or A Man Apart. While I wouldn't go so far as to say he's a great actor, he's good in the role of anti-heroes.
And yes, the Dark Knight is currently filming, and it will feature Joker and Two-Face.

It is possible that Harvey will be the DA for most of the movie, perhaps not becoming Two-face until the very end to set up Batman 3(which already has the main actors under contract).

Wait?! are you freaking serious that Topher Grace is venom?!!!! I mean the kids got potential sure, but this is the kind of role that will kill his career... just because he doesn't exactly fit the persona of Eddie Brock/venom. I hope he can pull off the toughguy attitude cause that's what he's going to need most since he doesn't look it. (this will require some skill, lets hope he can pull it off)
I liked the spidey movies, it really captured how Peter is always conflicted with the 2 people he wants/has to be, especially in spiderman 2. Doc-oc wasn't exactly written too well compared to how I thought but he wasn't horrible.
This vid wasn't too bad really, although the blue screen close up shots could have been done much better.
I think the only think I truely don't like is how the bugger keeps taking off his freaking mask!
