Last night, I was, admittedly, on the toilet when I thought of a great starship game idea. If you have heard of the game Steel Battalion, you would know that it needs a $220 dollar controller thing. Well, in my game idea, you could walk around your ship, mainly in the bridge, using the mouse and keyboard. But during the battles and stuff, you would need a special PDA like device that hooks up to the computer. This device is a handheld control pad for controlling your ship. You can select what tactics you want to use, flight patterns, what singleships to deploy, what weapons you would use, and reactor/engine settings. On the actual computer, you could control your guy, engage in boarding actions in which you would actually play as a soldier attacking the enemy ship, or defending your ship, and maybe even pilot a singleship.
