If we are talking video games across the gambit of console systems and such it would be:
1. Final Fantasy 4 (2 in US)

4. Chrono Trigger (or Cross, both rank the same)

Metal gear series. It's amazing story, action, and sneaking along with some "sci fi" elements put into it all just makes it pure awesome and made of win.
I'm also a big fan of The Longest Journey, not sure if it is my favorite game though since it's so old, it got like zero replayablility(Though the new Dreamfall got a higher replayability)
Hrm.. Well, yes. Metal gear is first, not sure what is second. Warcraft series I belive.

The most fun I ever had playing online with PC was Battlefield '42. I would say Renegade is up there since I think we set the standard for that kind of multiplayer game but 42 had me laughing constantly. The pace of that game was awesome for me... my reflexes arent insanely fast like some kids. haha

My favorite all-time game isn't one, but a collection: the Half-Life Series. Halo can go hug a tree, HL's story, level design, development and support are a million times better. Trust me, you don't know good level design until you actually try to build one yourself, which is what I spent three years doing from '98 to '01
