English is my native language, but it's a huge compilation and is easily misunderstood and makes no sense.

I like Japanese the most. Its grammar is rather straightforward, there are no contextually changing phonemes, and it's a very elegant-sounding language.

I like german. It just has that manly sound to it. I don't like english just because it is so complex. I'm pretty sure Chinese Mandarin is the only language more complex.

English is my native language and the only one i know. I wouldnt call it my faviroute though. Too many words are the same, but mean different things...it gets to the point of ridiculousness sometimes. Makes me want to smack the person who made English so complicated in the head.

I voted German, I would choose Japanese if it was on there since its so great, nice sounding. I even got enough media to make me learn at least basics. Not Grammer but random words.

German, hands down. It's just so awesome sounding.

English is a close second, because of all the bizarre crap you can do with it (such as the massive amounts of expressions that make no sense, such as "to kick a load").

Russian is third, because it's awesome sounding, but not as awesome as German.

German for the way it sounds and its particulars (and because Rammstein rules)

But as an author, I have to choose English, because no other language has a thesuarus as big. So many different ways to say the same thing...it can be almost beautiful when put in the right words.

Oh...and the most beautiful word in the English language: THE

No genders, no time sense, just a definite/indefinite article that encompasses everything. I absolutely hate gender-based parts of languages. German isn't as bad as Spanish in that regard. In Spanish your whole sentence changes based on the assumed gender of whatever you're talking about. Can't stand it.

I found spanish to be rather boring honestly- too many similarities. I liked the challenge of Russian, and loved it- I think in Russian occassionally(which also accounts for the weird word order I sometimes get in english). German is pretty cool though. I completely agree with Hiromoon that the language selection is rather short- these are all european languages. German isn't even used by that many people, especially compared to chinese, or arabic.

I would Put Slavic as it includes the Language spoken not only by Russians but also by the Balkan States...

But for how it rolls of the tongue has to be french.

I love the way the swear words roll off your tongue...

However I voted for English :p

english is a confounding language but it's still the best. In fact there is an idea proposed by some guy back in day. I think it's called anglo-saxonism or something like that. And the guy says that one day english speaking peoples will dominate the globe. It's gettung more and more true every day. English is the official language of I think diplomacy, money, and science and maybe some more. But it doesn't sound cool. Languages that sound cool are german, russian and arabic. (why isn't arabic up there?)

personally I think all the romantic languages are lame. like spanish, french, italian, etc. It's the gender thing mostly and someother stuff.

C. Hands down. If you're talking about real spoken languages, then English. If you're talking about fictional spoken languages, then Quenya.
