Hi all,

I bought and downloaded the game from gamestop.  When I run the patch I get this message:

---------------------------
UAWEA Patch Error
---------------------------
Unable to determine UAWEA.EXE location.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

It happens no matter where I put the patch exe file.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

Moving this to the Tech Support forum.

Now, on to your question. I'm assuming this is with the standalone patch? Have you tried logging in and installing the patch automatically via Live?

Sorry to post in the wrong forum!

Yes this is the standalone patch... didn't want to touch Live w/ a 10 ft stick if I didn't have to.  Any way to get the live patch w/o creating an acct, logging in, etc?

Maybe I'm being paranoid.

Well after signing a deal with the devil (i.e. signing up for Live and installing the crap)...  get the exact same error message.

Any ideas?

Sorry for multiple posts, one other thing:

I'm running version 1.00.86418

Maybe I'm already patched and it's getting that error because it can't find the old version of the .exe file?  If that's the case, you may want to change your error message to something more descriptive.

We are aware of the issue and are looking into it currently. We hope to have a temporary work around shortly.

BTW
1.00.86418 is the shipped version of the game. The day one patch version is 1.00.88419.

I am having the same issue with the digital download.  Any ETA on a fix for this.  I am aching to play multiplayer and experience the fixes.

I'm also having this same problem using the downloaded version of the game.   Can we please get a fix for this fix?  Soon.

Snake Looks to be an error with Digital Download patches not the same as the DVD Patches.  Steam automatically patches while D2D doesn't

Steve has posted in another thread that they are trying to come up with a walk around :)

We have a test patch for this particular issue, please PM me if you would like to try.

Note: This test patch only fixes the patching errors for digital downloads, nothing else.

Can I have a copy of this? I realize this is an old thread, but I can't find a recent one with a download of the patch for digitally purchased copies of the game.
