I would hope that it does, but there hasn't been much news about patch 3 from Petroglyph.

So it needs a patch to support cross play? I wonder what kind of changes will be made and if anything new will be added. This game is so damn good I hope a lot of people buy it for the 360.

I believe so, they called patch 3 the Interop patch which implies that it is necessary for interplayability

I hope a lot of people buy this game, but there has not been a lot of hype about it. A demo before release would have really helped, but it appears that is not going to happen.
I just hope when I buy this game that people actually be online playing it.

Well it's on the Xbox so it should do well. Games with no hype sold well on the 360 and I wouldn't say this game has no hype. There are a number of ads on Gamespot. A demo will help though.

Yea, but hopefully the demo will come out on the day at the release, so people can play it a bit, then go buy it if they like it.

Yes, there will be icons to distinguish which platform your opponent is. In addition, we just put in a new feature for the PC and 360 patch. Players will now be able to set their units in "Patrol" mode. When they do this, units will automatically move around hunting for enemy targets.

I am sure i read that there will be no way to distinguish between PC and 360 players. I can imagine if the person is on your friend list you will know since it has the icon. Are you saying you will be able to tell who is on the PC or 360 regardless if the person is on the friend list? I prefer not knowing.
