'We all grew up with The Smurfs and we all have questions as a result:

* Did Papa Smurf really father all the other Smurfs?
* Why was Smurfette the only girl Smurf?
* Do Blue People have all the normal parts?
* How did Sassette Smurf show up without any explanation?

Well, be prepared to have your questions answered and minds blown! You see, Paramount has announced plans for a trilogy of computer animated Smurf films, with the first one tentatively set for release in 2008.

Producer Jordan Kerner says of the films, "Having seen all 234 episodes of the show, numerous times, Herb Ratner and I have been working really hard at looking where all the holes were in the episodes – ya’know, like all of a sudden another woman appears, it’s not just Smurfette – and what we’ve done is we’ve plugged all those holes in a trilogy of three movies, and we reveal things as we go along."

Kerner went on to say that the trilogy is aiming to be the "Lord of the Rings" of animated films. He explained that the films will fully explore the Smurf world over the course of the trilogy in a way that can only be compared to the epic scope of Peter Jackson’s Tolkien Trilogy.' -G4TV

I really feel insulted. I can think of a few things that could be made into movies. The smurfs is definitly not on the list. Why would anyone want to make a movie about the smurfs, much less watch it?

The director should be on the O'reilly factor so he or she could be called stupid. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Waste of effort if you ask me. I have never liked the Smurfs even as a child. The effort is better off put into something good.

My point exactly. Bet ya 10 bucks it will be a flop tongue.gif

I think that "Star Wars: Dark lord: The rise of darth vader" would make a really good movie because it's written well, has a good plot, its really cool, and because it is centered around Darth Vader...

Read it, and you'll agree with me.

Foshjedi2004: That's Grand Admiral Thrawn... He's an uber smurf

Let me correct your incorrect useage of "uber". That means over or above, not super... Therefore, Thrawn is not a over or above smurf. Does that make any sense?
Foshjedi2004
He's Taller than the smurfs tongue.gif
